I didn't know what was happening, the guard and ents were just taking us into town, like they knew us or something.
Wait... if they know us.... dwarves sneak in sometimes... and are besty's with the King of Thorns.
Great. Not only are we here in Thornveil but also under the view of a dwarf lover.
"Queen Thorn wants you to feel welcome in Thornveil. After all, she is an elf too, only an elf that made a mistake marrying a dwelve" the guard spoke.
"Why would the queen make a mistake? Doesn't she love King Thorn?" I asked curiously. "No, she had an arranged marriage with him because of her mother and his mother. They wanted them married so there would be peace between dwarves and elves, but of course that never happened, now she hates him" the guard said. "You can call me... Spruce, after all I'm half spruce half thorn, the princess of Thorns, Princess Zahra wanted to see to you after Queen Thorn, she wanted to welcome you" Spruce said his voice booming.
Two guards came town towards them a short blonde girl between them. Thorns grew along the girl's green dress and wrapped around her arms and legs. Her red eyes beamed as she looked directly at me. She was curious. Her ears weren't pointed. She didn't have red nor black hair, and she definitely was not human.
"Your probably wondering why I don't have pointed ears or Dwarf or Human relations... it's because I was born a rare race, a race of Thorns, my kind are called Thornray, the only race that compares humans, dwarves, elves, and plants all in one" she said her red eyes still lay on me.
"Well, all of us are elves, besides Fizz he's human but he is neutral with us" I said and pointed to Fizz. Fizz blinked and I turned back to Princess Zahra.
"M'Lady, your not suppose to be out this late, if you guys want a rental house, we have a guest house beside the castle" said Spruce. The ents nodded and we all looked at them but agreed to follow.
As we walked through the village I saw fences around houses sewn through with thick sharp thorns, wooden houses with thorns curling up and around through windows and chimneys. The farms had thorns curled around crops and walls, growing up the fences and sharp.
When we got to the castle. I had no words. It was made of shiny stone, vines weaved through the door and Windows, curling around the tall towers and had moss and ivy growing up the walls. The guest house was made of a dark oak, the door a lighter spruce shade with pebbles and stones forming a path.
Thorns lined the path and curved around the house. It opened a certain pathway to the door and they led us to it.
I opened the creaky door.
I felt like our old home was way more poor compared to this luxurious suite, it had thorned lining on the soft purple red sofas. The table was made of thick stems and the chairs were birch wood. There were two bunk beds, one with purple and red blankets the other with black and cyan blankets. Akira walked forward me and Puggy get this one!" She called and sat on the top bunk of the black and cyan bed.
Shadow and Duffy called the other bunk,Tyler called called the couch, Roman called the table and Sly called the soft fluffy white rug.
"Enjoy your stay" Zahra said. She shut the door and the shifting of vines covering over the door was the only sound besides Duffy leaping up and down. "How much longer till they send someone to hell?" I asked. "They probably already did, that girl she isn't normal, she has vines growing out of her skin and did you see the way she looked at Pug!?!?? Dude! Like she looked like she wanted to eat her. Did you see her eyes? What the fuck..." Fizz trailed off as a vine grew down from the ceiling in the shape of a person. It threw vines at Fizz. He dodged and cut the vines off with a dagger. I ran forward gripping the shovel and pulled it off my back. I leapt forward and swung it slashing the vine straight through the center. The vine grew back and Duffy leapt to my side and threw sugar at it. The vines thorn figure flicked. It was angry now. Duffy pulled out her two daggers and stabbed them into where the stomach should've been. I slashed the place are the vine came down and cut it off. The vine retracted but the figure fell to the ground revealing a young girl with bright orangy red hair, she was in a white night gown and had pointed ears.
Something was going on here, and it had to be something with Princess Zahra.
