I rode faster followed by the rest of the group. I saw the glimmer of a light off in the distance.

I lifted my hand up and pulled the reins sending the horse to a halt. The others silently stopped behind me. I noticed the light was coming from a town now far ahead. I listened and could here the crackling off fire and sharp whipping thorns. Tables and chairs falling over and I heard a loud crash of dishes falling in the floor. I heard a young women yelling "Paige! How many times have I told you.. make sure the dishes don't fall out of the sink!" Her voice sounded demanding and then the complaining of a young girl followed by two laughs of more girls and the silent turning of pages as a silent young girl flipped book pages.

"Your father will be home soon" I heard the women say. That must be Flare, Raya's sister and Raya's nieces. The brother in law from what I heard's name was Lee. "That must be cottage. Thorns. Four little girls. A women hassling them about father coming home soon" I said. "How would you know?" Raya asked. "If you haven't noticed, we all abilities. I can hear, Duffy with animals, Shadow magic, Tyler morphs into things, Sly a living Fox, Roman a soldier from back in the romanian diplomacy times... I'm too lazy to go in" I said and then flicked the reins and we continued.

We got to the house vines were wrapped gracefully and neatly around the Windows, roof and chimneys much neater than the guest house in Thornveil. Off in the distance I could see Thornsdale from on the hill. Raya walked to the wooden door and knocked sending low thumps against the door. The door soon opened and a women with deep black hair, pointed ears, and fiery Amber eyes. I could hear low whispers and giggles from where I stood behind Raya.

"Raya" The women spoke. "Flare..." Raya said and the twos sisters embraced and squeaked. "Its so good to have you back home!" Flare said. "The girls have been talking about how much they miss you and complaining about everything since you left, I'm just glad my little sister is here to take care of these bitchy rats for a while, while I take a looooooooooong break." Flare said.

"About that... Flare you know it's always been my dream to go and adventure with good people.

"So your saying your going to run off with these people I barely know and leave me to take care of your nieces?" Flare said and the tips of her black hair lit into flame. Smoke drifted off her hair has it grew bright on the tips. "I'm sorry, if you and the girls want to come with me and them you can but it's dangerous.

"Trust me, my girls. Can handle. Anything." Flare said. "Girls! Come out here we have visitors!" Flare called into the house. Suddenly a vine attached to the door frame and quickly a little girl pulled herself to it with the vines later on three more joined her.

"Willow, didn't I say not to do that inside?" Flare said. Raya sighed "I need time alone without you Flare" Raya said and turned running away her hair shone like fire in the moonlight. "I'll go talk to her" Tyler aficionados and before anyone objected he ran off after her.

Tyler's POV

I was running after Raya, after all she didn't say she didn't want to talk to me.

"Raya!" I called Raya skidded to a halt and looked back. Her red hair was shining like fire in the moonlight. I could hear crackles of the tips starting to burn. "Are you a Fire dwelve?" I asked looking at her. She turned fully around looking at me. "Maybe I am" Raya said and her hair burst up in flame. "Well you don't have to be alone in this, you know me and my friends, we have special singled selected powers to fit where we were born. No one has any of our abilities, it doesn't mean you go through this tough time alone." I said and walked up to her and looking her in the eyes.

"Tyler.. you don't understand! My life was built with no Sympathy. No fun. No adventure. No freedom... you'll never get it." Raya said. I wanted to give her a hug. All these emotions exploding up inside me I wanted to hug her, hold her hand, tell her everything is okay. Everything will always be okay. I couldn't. Not when she knew the world was in some sort of danger.

"Want a hug?" I asked. She sniffles and a tiny tear slipped down her pale cheek. Her red hair was roughly blowing in the thick, violently cold wind. She looked up, her brown eyes shone black, blending in with the dark of the night.

All if a sudden she ran forward and hugged tightly, her arms around me. I shifted and wrapped my arms tightly around her as she sobbed, tears soaking my shirt. "I won't let anything bad happen to you. I won't let you die. If you die I promise it will be of old age" I said. She pulled back and looked up at me. "I'm don't want to be alone.. stay with me, in going to the hill tops where the northern lights are going to shine through the sky, stars blending in with its beautiful colors." Raya said. I nodded my head and she grabbed my hand. Pulling me along with her.
