I stood at the edge of the town square where the markets were hosted originally by all their owners. It was hard not to notice Owen on the other side of the Market Place working at Mr. Smith's Weapon Shop.
Occasionally he'd look up to see me staring at him but i'd glance away at a food booth like I wasn't looking at him at all.
Raya tapped my shoulder and I looked at her. "Hm?" I said and she smirked. "You. Need to. Talk. To. Owen." Raya said and grabbed my wrist pulling me along. I pulled and free'd myself from her grasp. "No. Raya, if he wants to talk to me. He will." I said turning back to the food. I picked up a loaf of bread, examined it and payed Mrs. Hut for it then she wrapped it up and handed it to me while I placed it in my bag. I looked back up from the food just to see Raya and Tyler making out on the other side of the market. "How do they breath?"
I wondered out loud. I looked back at the food. I bought a bag of sugar for Duffy and put it in my bag then walked around the shops until I came upon the Weapon Shop.
I sighed You can't hide from him forever I thought to myself. I decide id wait for him to notice me and come talk to me. I saw him and immediately had a flashback:
I stood staring at him like he was crazy. The moon lit up my pale skin through the darkness of the night. Nothing could compare to how handsome he looked but it had to be done.
"Raven why can't you see that Flare is dangerous?" Owen said raising his voice with anger. "She wouldn't be dangerous if she had four kids and a sister. So there you have it not dangerous at all." I said. I could feel the wind picking up as it blew my hair around and whipped my face with cold stings.
"Raven. I love you but honestly, I don't want you in danger." Owen said his words mixed and confusing. I looked at him his green eyes had softened, his black hair was blowing slower than mine in the wind since it was short. "Fine." I said. "Thank you" he breathed and pulled me close but pushed away glaring at him and stormed off down the Alley Way. His green eyes burned into my back.I snapped back to reality as I heard my name called. I looked up and saw Owen. "Huh?" I said. "You zoned out" he said. "I know what I did" I mumbled glaring at him. "You can't be mad at me forever" he said. "I'm not scared. I'm mad." I growled. I walked off my black hair flowing behind me. I felt a hand on my shoulder and turned around. "What do you want!" I said looking at Owen through narrowed eyes. "What I want is for you to accept me" he said his green eyes flashing. I rolled my eyes and turned around to leave but he grabbed my wrist and pulled me into a tight ally way where no one would see us. "I love you and ill wait for you to love me too." He said his eyes quivered. I looked at him. "You win. I do love you, but I can't" I said scared to tell him about my royal pronounced name.
"Why?" Asked Owen.
"I'm Raven, okay? Princess Raven Night-Lay'-Mare Wood. My mother is the Queen, Queen Lorey of Coltsnight, and she doesn't wish for me to fall in love with an villager, but I left that life behind. So i don't know what to do nlw, anyways I'm going to my sister's wedding in Glidingdale, she's Princess Robin Dark Wood, my brother is Royal Guard Lark Evest Wood. My sister is marrying Prince Glide and I don't want to go alone." I said not making any sense at all. Was i asking him to come with me?
"I'm coming with you, I bet your friends want to come as well." He said looking at me. I looked up at him. He held the truth with in.
