Chapter 10

•Lilian's POV•

Laura: Sleepover at my house, k

Me: Okay when should I come over?

Laura: Idk go home grab stuff then come over, I'll get candy and Violet then we can watch a movie

Me: Sounds good!

I quickly pack my backpack full of things I may need, after much struggle fitting it all, honestly, I was way over-packed but I wanted to be prepared for anything.

I even packed a bathing suit even though it is the middle of October and freezing cold outside.

My dad was working late today, so I just texted him letting him know where I was and who I was with.

Laura texted me her address and I drove over to her house.

I don't like driving, I can do it when I need to but I much rather sit in the passenger seat that's why my dad drives me to school so often.

I pull into her driveway I almost hit a garbage can because I was looking at her house.

It's a stunning white house with grey stone going up some of the walls it looks very cozy yet modern.

I walk up to her door and knock almost immediately the door flies open to show Laura.

"You're finally here took you long enough"

"It's been half an hour that's pretty good considering I had to pack and get ready."

"Yeah yeah come in Violet is on her way," she says opening the door more for me to come in.

The inside of her house is exactly what I expected, cozy modern style.

"You have a nice house," I say taking off my shoes and coat.

"Thank you, my mom is an interior designer so she did our whole house when we bought it," she says "wow you do not pack lightly," she says as she tries to take my bag to her room.

"I didn't know what to bring, I've never been to a proper sleepover before," I admit.

"Really, do you just not like them very much," she asks

"No, not that I've just never been invited to one," I say

"Ohh then we got a lot of them to catch up on don't we," she smiles.

"Yes, we do," I say smiling at the realization someone wants to hang out with me.

"Hellooooo" Violet calls through the house as she walks in.

"In my room" Laura yells back.

Soon after Violet shows up at the door holding many bags of candy.

"I said I was getting candy V," Laura says seeing all the candy.

"Yeah, but I wanted to get more in case you got the bad kind." She says giggling

"When have I ever gotten bad candy," Laura asks shocked at the previous statement.

"We'll never but it was bound to happen," she says and I can't help from laughing at their bickering over candy.

"Well now that everyone is here let the party commence," Laura says "first things first pyjamas"

"Yes let's go," Violet says heading to the bathroom Laura has in her room with her backpack.

"There is a bathroom down the hall you can change in," Laura says to me as she grabs her PJs.
