Chapter 19

•Chase's POV•

Still no word from Lili, I am so close to calling the cops to report a missing person if she's not at her house.

Hopefully, her dad is home so I can inform him of the situation, I bet he's worried sick if she isn't answering his texts either, Lilian mentioned they had a very close relationship.

~Flashback~

"Taylor, where are you going in such a rush," the coach shouted at me as I throw my skates in my bag.

"Um, I just have something to do," I reply as I throw on my regular clothes.

"I think that's why he's in such a bad mood," a muffled voice said on the other side of the locker room.

"Makes sense, how would you feel if your girlfriend left you," another voice added.

"I heard from Rebecca that she slept with every guy at her old school, that's why she transferred here.

"Damm, she's such a slut, she must be so easy, I could totally take her, I mean have you seen her,"

Oh hell no.

"Watch what you fucking say," I warn walking towards the group of guys clustered together.

"Why are you even defending that thing, she deserves whatever-" I didn't let him finish that sentence before I punched him in the face.

"HEY, BREAK IT UP, Taylor what are you doing?" coach yelled.

"Getting Blake to shut the fuck up," I say looking back at Blake who was now nursing his nose, I didn't hit hard enough to brake his nose, just bruise it.

"And what did you say Blake that you needed to be punched to stop?" the coach asked him

"Nothing. I was just informing the other guys of some school news," he said innocently, if coach wasn't here, I would have punched that smirk off his face.

Coach understood the look I was giving him about what Blake had just said.

"Don't talk that way about anyone else or you're done, understand." He says. And everyone who had gathered to watch had dispersed and went back to minding their own business.

"Go on, get out of here Taylor, you said you needed to leave quickly," Coach said.

~Flashback ended~

I'm on my way to Lili's house right now, it's only about 4:30 so she's been MIA for about 3 hours since lunch.

I pull into her driveway; no cars were there so her dad is probably still at work and her car is still at Shawn's house.

I knock on the door no one answers, I try again still no answer, I look threw the window and no lights are on that I can see.

Me: She's not at her house
Laura: she's not at her work either
Violet: God dam where is this girl
Tyler: Did you ever check the library?
Me: No Claire distracted me
Tyler: She could have just fallen asleep studying there.
Me: On my way there
Violet: Please tell us if you find her
Laura: I'm one hour away from calling the cops.

How could I be so stupid and not check the library? I made it back to the school in record time only blowing a few stop signs.

•Lilian's POV•
~two hours earlier~

I was awoken by the muffled sound of voices in the hallway, they seemed so close, yet I couldn't reach them.

My body had given up and gone into a state of shock.
