Chapter 25

•Lilian's POV•

In the past week, everything has gone back to normal, school is fine as ever, Chase and I have hung out a few times after work or practice but that's it.

I'll recap everything that's happened so far.

Monday,

School was cancelled today because it's Halloween, thank the lords. I and my dad went out and bought Halloween candy a few days ago so I got that already and put it into our bowls.

We may have gone completely overboard with the amount of candy we bought, we usually get around two hundred kids and each gets two pieces which add up to four hundred candies.

I am now trying to find bowls around our house for the extra two hundred pieces we got, hey, we wanted variety.

I spent the day rereading the 'Summer I turned pretty' all I'm going to say is # team Jeremiah for life.

No one can tell me any different...

Tuesday,

I'll admit I was nervous to go back to school but when I got there Laura and Violet were waiting for me so they could walk me to my class.

The rest of the day flew by. I worked after school till seven, a new girl got hired earlier this week and I got to train her.

She's really nice and already called me her 'work wife' once so... I love her.

Wednesday,

I HATE math with a deadly passion, if I have ever said I liked it I was wrong.

This class makes me want to pull out my eyes.

Ms What's her face gave me a 73% on my quadratic quiz it's not my fault my calculator told me the wrong answers and before anyone goes saying 'you're not supposed to use them to get the answers only check your answers ' then explain why I can type the formula in and see the graph on the little screen.

It's even in colour.

Thursday,

I learned today that we are going on a field trip in social next week to the Western Development Museum.

I'm really excited I used to love going there when I was a kid, they have life-sized replicas of the old buildings, houses and trains inside the building.

All the workers are in costume. It's a history lover's heaven.

"Do you want to stop at Starbucks on the way?" My dad has been especially nice to me recently like he's walking on eggshells all the time.

"Is that an actual question?" I ask jokingly.

"No, I knew the answer, I was just checking," he says pulling into the drive-through.

"Can I get a grande pink drink and a grande ice vanilla latte please," He says to the lady taking our orders?

"Thanks," I say when he hands me my drink.

"No problem kiddo," he smiles softly at me. Don't get me wrong he's usually a very happy guy but this I'm getting suspicious of.

"Have a great day," he says as I hop out of the car towards school.

"You too, bye,"

Every day this week someone has been waiting for me at the front of the school, sometimes is Laura, Violet, and even Tyler once and Chase a few times.
