Maddi's POV
I woke up feeling really groggy and I had a headache. I looked at the clock next to my bedside table and saw that it was only 6:30. Despite my headache, I had a brilliant idea.
I creeped up to the kitchen and grabbed a few ingredients for my prank. Yes, I was going to prank my cheating ex-boyfriend.
He was still visiting us even though three out of four people (not including himself) hated him. I tip-toed upstairs and made sure not to drop anything. When in his room I grabbed the syrup and drizzled it all over him. Then I tried not to squeal as I put ants (alive) in the syrup. Next, I Saran Wrapped the door frame so his head would hit it and cause him to fall when he ran after me. Classic right? I squirted some liquid soap on the floor next to his bed.
And slapped him. Hard. But not before setting up my phone on his desk so I could record the whole thing. "MADDI! What do you think you're doing? What am I covered in?!?! AIEEE!" He let out a girly scream. "I am so getting you back for this." He growled. He stumbled a bit on the soap but he was still a pretty fast runner. He ran for the doorway and I knew what was coming. His face slammed into the Saran Wrap and stuck directly to his face (I had added a layer of double sided tape to make the prank a little meaner.) "Take that you lying, dirty cheater!" He was still laying on the ground so I decided to take a picture of him and post that and the video to Instagram. My caption was "Don't cheat on me unless you want this to be you."
Suddenly, my head felt a whole lot better. Walking across his room, I made sure to dodge the slippery soap and the ants. Then I opened his balcony doors and threw all his clothes into the pool. This will teach him. "Get out Brian. I'm tired of your badly planned shenanigans." He pulled the sticky tape off of his face and sulked downstairs. I saw him cleaning his clothes out of the pool and smiled.
"Way to go out with a bang." Said a voice behind me. I turned around and saw Rick looking at me. "I'm sorry this happened to you Mads. It's definitely been a rough week for both of us." He hugged me and I pulled away. "I need to talk to Kendal."
I slid down the staircase and landed with a pep in my step. This was finally looking up! As Brian pulled out of the driveway I didn't regret a single thing. I saw Kendal throwing fulls near the pool and decided to join. "Hey." She said after I hit mine perfectly. "I thought it was time for us to talk." I offered. "Past time." She replied. We both laughed.
She told me her situation and ended by bawling. "It's okay Ken. I'm not mad now that I know your side of the story." I pulled her into my arms and we sat there for a moment quietly, just thinking, until "Ahem," rang out across the backyard. I saw Axel standing in the doorway. I walked over to him and hugged him with a small peck on the cheek. "Good Morning!" His voice was so hot. "Mornin'" I replied.
"OH," They both turned and looked at me. "First of all, Kendal this is my good friend Axel, you remember him right?" They shook hands. "Axel, this is my best friend Kendal." "Where is the boy?" He asked. "You sound like a CSI agent..." I laughed. "I have to show you guys something." I started the video and turned the sound up. Kendal snorted like a pig and Axel was laughing so hard it was silent. They both slapped me high fives and I felt pretty proud.
Today was great. We called Rick down to the pool deck and explained everything. My prank video already had 107 likes! "Hey Axel," I called. "Wanna learn how to stunt?"
