Izuku's POV:
Someone please explain to me why I am here in a training room?
I get he told me to come downstairs here... I mean a floor down and there is this huge ass training room?
Say what?
Is this one private?
And are these two whole stories as one?
This is a bit weird...
Hawks: You like it?
Me: What are we doing here this early in the morning?
Hawks: A bit of flying.
Me: I told you, I don't fly.
Hawks: Whelp, just give it a try.
Me: Nope.
Hawks: Come on feathers.
After I woke up and he just walking in the right moment, he gave me something to change into which was quite nice of a fabric actually and then lead me to here which was basically the floor beneath his home and is made up from two stories so he had the height to fly around I guess.
This wasn't however a joke to me at all. I never flew at all but I knew how to land which was basically something.
Hawks: Come on, open your wings. No one gonna hurt you here.
Since he was a hero and I already did enough troubles, I decided to release them. Thankfully the fabric I had was lose on me and my back was completely opened so I could retrieve them and actually put them to the ground. They were quite big and even touching the ground once they were not folded around my arms.
Hawks: Now open them up and let me look at them.
I did as he told but I didn't thought that he would pick me up. At first it was a bit but then completely.
Hawks: Alright. Open your eyes.
Me: No.
Hawks: Come on, this should be natural to you.
Me: NO!
Hawks: ... did something happen to you?
Me: ... put me down please...
I felt myself shaking while I knew I was high above the ground. Not a good sign at all. I was just glad that he did what I asked and put me down immediately.
Hawks: So what happened?
Me: Huh?
Hawks: Something must have happened for you to be this scared of heights.
Me: ... My mother died in a villain attack but I was there... it was in her work place and she brought me with her. It was quite a tall building but when the attack happened and the hero came to save everyone, my mother and that villain crashed through the window and died because of the fall.... I tried to save her and jumped after her... I will never forget her image.
Hawks: I am so sorry.
Hawks was hugging me the moment we landed. This was a story not many people knew aka meaning no one but Toko and Dark Shadow. It was the source of the fear of heights I had because every time I was above the ground, I saw all the blood on the ground and could smell it as well. I would get dizzy and black out.
Hawks: Izu... can I show you something?
Me: Sure.
Hawks: Close your eyes.
I did as he asked but I didn't expect him to pick me up and get out of that room and fly, who knows how high above the ground. He not only stopped in mid air but also told me to open up my eyes. What kind of bullshit was that?
Hawks: Come on.
Me: No.
Hawks: Trust me. I got you in my arms.
Me: ....
Hawks: Take your time feathers.
That was what he said and I did exactly that until I felt a bit more relaxed and finally opened my eyes. The few I saw was breathtaking. This was not how I remembered it to be. After I gawked and looked amazed at the view of the city, Hawks decided to fly a bot around his agency to show me or more like familiarize me with the feeling of flying.
It was a beginning and I felt that this was one. Never did I think I would enjoy being up in the air. You could even hear a small zurring sound coming off my very own wings.
Hawks: Wanna try?
Me: No. Please don't drop me.
Hawks: I won't. I'll teach you how to fly slowly. This should be enough for today.
Me: Mh.... thanks...
Hawks: No problem feathers.
As amazing as it was, I didn't know that we were actually up for 3 hours in the air and that it took me 3 hours to actually feel safe up there in his arms. This only showed how set Hawks was on doing this and teaching me how to fly.
