Around 6:00 me and Quinn were still
outside reading. We found a nice little hammock and laid on that while everyone else was inside probably unpacking.

"V-V! Quinnie! Dinner's ready!" Sissi
yelled from the cabin. "Did she seriously just call me Quinnie!?" Quinn asked. I chuckled "I thought V-V was bad!" We were both laughing by the time we got back to the cabin. "I see you too are having fun. What did you girls do out there? Go for a walk? Fishing? Bird hunting?" Jim asked. "Reading." I replied. He had a look of disappointment on his face but soon forced a smile. "Ha! Reading!? You guys are such losers!" Sissi laughed.

"Shut the hell up Sissi at least we have
a life of more than just going around and sleeping with everybody!" She stood up with an angered look on her face. Haha, I pissed her off. "Okay look you little brat. I don't sleep with anyone besides Stan!" "Ha! Have you not figured out that Stan's gay?" "Stan is not gay! He has me! Why would he be gay if he's dating me!?" "It's called a beard honey. Ha, I'll bet you he's making out with Eddie right now!" Me and Quinn started laughing when Jim stepped in.

"Girls! That's enough! I don't want my
family fighting on a special vacation like this!" Me and Quinn stopped at that. And finally, for once, Quinn spoke up.

"A family? You call this a family!? The only family here is Veronica! She's the only sane one in this so called 'family'! Sissi is a kiss ass, Johanna, you're fucking clueless and dad, you're way too caught up on everything happy to even see the bad things! You think everything is just fine because that's what you see! Life's not fucking like that dad! You think just because one daughter has it basically perfect, your other does!? That's not the fucking case! She literally just bullied us in front of your face and you don't see anything wrong!? Open your goddamn eyes! You get mad at me and Veronica for everything that you do wrong! Or that Sissi does wrong! This is not a family. A family sticks together. Stands up for each other, looks out for each other. A family protects eachother and is always there for each other. When mom died, you barely even talked to me! And I was having the roughest time with it! Family? No, this is no family."

With that she stormed out of the room and into
a random room, which I'm guessing is ours. We all stood there shocked. Quinn had never yelled before. She always stayed quiet, in the corner of the room with a book. She had never cussed before. She hadn't brought up her mother ever since she died. We all stared into the hall, as if she was going to come back out or something. After a couple of minutes, my mom grabbed my hand.

"I think you should go talk to her honey..."
She whispered so Jim and Sissi wouldn't hear. I nodded and walked over to the door she went into. I tried opening it, but it was locked.

"Go away!" She snapped. I jumped at her
Tone of voice. She must be more angry than I thought. "Quinn. It's me, Veronica." After a few moments, she opened the door and let me in. The room was really dark and had two beds. One was made and the other had blankets, clearly showing someone was there. I sat down on the messed up one and Quinn sat next to me after closing and locking the door. I looked at her and she was crying. I've seen Quinn cry before, she would have night terrors sometimes, considering she's the one that witnessed her mother's death. I'm not sure how LeAnn died, we never talk about it because it's a soft subject for Quinn. I only know that it was a month before we met them and that Quinn was the only one to witness it.

"Hey, um, sorry about that...back there," She
chuckled, "I-I don't know what the hell got into me." She wiped her eyes and sniffled. I chuckled as well. "It's fine, Quinn, I would've done the same." She sighed. "You know, mom was the only one who ever paid any attention to me. Dad and Sissi were the ones always out, or with each other. Probably because, Sissi was terrible to mom. They would fight all the time. And not just verbal, physical too. I have no idea why. They've been fighting for as long as I can remember. Even when Sissi was little. I remember being like, five and Sissi threw a baseball at her. She threw it so hard, she had a concussion and had to go to the hospital for a week. I would ask my mom why and she just said that her and Sissi just didn't get along. I knew there was more though, especially after she died..."

She trailed off and just sat there for a moment.
"What do you mean?" She looked at me in shock. "Jim never told you how she died?" "Uhh, no? You don't have to tell me, I know it's a tough subject." She sat and thought for a moment. "No, I think I'm ready to tell you..." She looked at me with a serious expression. I nodded as a reply and she took a deep breath.

"About a month before we met, me and
mom were home alone. Sissi was out with some friends and dad was at work. It was summer, so there was no school...."

{Flashback; Quinns P.O.V}
(WARNING: This is kinda intense...)

I sat at my desk and continued reading. I was almost at the end of "The Hunger Games" and I wanted to know what happened.

Suddenly, my attention was drawn towards my
parents room. I heard my mom faintly crying. I stood up and walked towards the door. I put my ear to it and I could hear her crying and doing something else. It sounded like she was rummaging through a box or something. I couldn't tell by just the sound. I slowly knocked on the door

"Mom...? You okay?" I asked. I didn't get
a reply back. I started to get worried. "Mom!" I grabbed the handle and jiggled it, but it was locked. She let out a loud sob. "Mom!! Open the door! What's wrong!?" I was screaming and crying by now. She was never this isolated. Especially around me. She was my best friend, my only friend, the only person in this world that I could trust. I knew her like the back of my hand, and I knew something was wrong here.

I ran to my room and grabbed a Bobby pin.
I ran back and picked the lock until it was finally open. I peered into the room and I saw my mom sitting on the bed with something black and shiny in her hand. Her wrists had slashes on them, old and new. It seemed as if she was staring into space. Her eyes, once a Chrystal blue were now as grey as rain clouds, the tears on her cheek glistened as if they were laced with silver. She was obviously tired and her expression was blank, she almost looked dead.

"Mom...please, tell me what's wrong. I hate
seeing you like this..." She blinked and stood up. The fabric of her light blue summer dress draped the black object in her slender fingers as she stood. She turned to the window by her bed and looked out of it. I could only see her straight brown hair now, although I could tell she was crying by the way she shook.

"Mom...wh-what are you doing?" She just
stood there. I took a few steps closer to her, afraid of her next move. "Mom, please, say something!" I saw her start to lift her arm. It was almost in slow motion as I saw what the object in her hand was; a small black pistol. She put it to her head as she sobbed again. "Mom, please think about this! Mom! MOM!" It was as if she couldn't hear me. I tried to walk toward her, but it was as if my feet were glued to the floor.

I saw her put her finger on the trigger as she
shook some more. She sobbed uncontrollably and her hand started to tremble and I could see her put a bit of pressure on the trigger. "Mom! No!! Please stop!!"
She sobbed once more and then pulled it.
