Hello. ^-^
So I just wanna apologize for how long it took me to update .-. I didn't have Internet for a very long time.
But now I'm back! *v*
Anyway, yea. Enjoy! ♡ xx
~×~

We sat at the table while Neil and
Steph prepared dinner.

"I-I don't have a good feeling about this V..." Quinn whispered to me.

"Me either, but we don't have much of a choice. We're in the middle of fucking no where." I replied, keeping an eye out in case Neil or Steph walked in.

"We can just...m-make a run for it...?"

"We could. But then we'd be lost."

"That's better than here! What if he feeds us poison? Or-or raw meat or something!?"

"Calm down okay? Pretty soon, we'll be done eating and then we can leave. He can't keep us hostage here for long."

"That's true..."

Suddenly, it starts thundering outside, and you can hear rain on the ceiling.

"Shit, spoke too soon."

"Well, looks like it's starting to rain
outside. We have an extra room for you girls to stay in for the night." Neil said, walking in with some silverware. "Oh, no its fine, we can walk in the rain. Our parents are probably worried about us anyway. I think after dinner we'll head out." I said, trying to convince him to let us leave. "Out in the cold?" He chuckled. "You'll get sick out there and then your parents will really worry about you. How about, if the rain stops, I'll take you in my truck to go find your parents." I nod in agreement. "Uhm, sir? Can't you do that in the rain as well?" Quinn asks. "Nope, sorry darlin' but here, the rain will flood the path out of here. Won't be able to get my truck through." Neil said and walked back into the kitchen.

"Shit shit shit." I whispered

"What are we going to do?" Quinn asked

"I don't know, maybe we could...Oh! I got it. Okay so, tonight, when he shows us our room, we'll say that we're going to bed right away and then we'll sneak out the window!"

"Good plan!"

We sit and wait until a middle aged
woman comes in through the front door. "Neil! I got the-" she stops when she sees us. "Oh, hello. I didn't realize we had guests." Neil walks in with a bowl of mashed potatoes. "Oh, right, this is Quinn and Veronica. Girls, this is my girlfriend, Martia." She walks over to us and puts out her hand. "Hi, nice to meet you." I shake her hand and so does Quinn. "You as well." I say.

"Anyway, Neil, I got the uhm,
tomorrows meal." She stutters and glances at us. "Perfect! Put it in the shed would you?" She nods and goes back outside. I glance at Quinn and she looks pale as ever. "You okay Quinn? You look like you've just seen a ghost." Neil asks, still here for some reason. "Uh- I-I..." "Quinn has social anxiety, so she gets nervous around new people." I cut her off, hoping she'd go along. Neil looks at Quinn, who nods more vigorously then she should have. "Oh, well Martia's nice. Don't worry about her." Neil smiles and Quinn nods. "Uhm, Neil? I have a question?" I say. "Go on." He says while slightly nodding. "Uhm, if the rain floods the streets, how did she get here?" I ask and for a second, he looks panicked, but his face soon goes back to normal. "I guess the rain isn't coming down hard enough yet." He says and walks back into the kitchen.

"Bullshit." I say under my breathe.

-
Soon enough, Neil brings out a giant plate
with at least 12 slices of meat on it. They're still a bit bloody, but I can't tell what kind of meat it is. He sets it down on the table and sits down. Soon, everyone is sat and we're ready to eat. I start to get a piece of meat, but Neil stops me.

"We always pray before we eat." He says,
taking Steph and Martias hands. I take Quinn and Stephs hand and Quinn takes Martias. Neil clears his throat and starts to pray. "Dear god, we thank you for the food we have, and the guests we have with us. Hopefully, more lovely guests will come along the way. Amen." "Amen" everyone said at once.

Quinn and I looked at eachother when he hoped for more "guests". She had a panicked expression, while I just smiled as to say "we'll be fine."

We started to fill our plates and I stared at
the meat in front of me. It didn't look like deer, or any other meat I had ever seen. I was going to ask, but decided against it. I cut a small piece
and put it in my mouth, chewing slowly. "You like the meat?" Neil asks and I nod. "Honestly, the best meat I've ever tasted." I say, forking another small piece of meat in my mouth. "Good," He chuckles. "I'm glad. How bout you, Quinn?" We all look at Quinn and she's just staring at the meat with a scared expression on her face. "Quinn?" I ask and shake her shoulder slightly. She jumps and looks at me with a panicked expression. I sigh and and look at everyone else. "She uh, she's vegan. I totally forgot, I'm sorry." Neil chuckles and shakes his head. "That's fine. Don't worry about it. Here, have some corn and mashed potatoes." He says, handing Quinn the food. She mumbles a thank you and starts to eat in silence. We all go back to our food and I continue eating the meat. I have no idea what kind it is, but it's honestly delicious. I take another slab and start working on that. Soon, I'm done with my third slab of meat and I go for a fourth, but there's none left.

"You ate them all, darlin." Martia chuckles
and eats some more corn. "Oh..." I mumble, kind of dissapointed. We continue eating and I pick at my corn. I really want some more of that meat right now.
