I wake up with Ana in my arms. I roll over and check the time. 5:37 A.M. Memories of my conversation with Quinn enter my mind and I start to feel bad. I was so lustful last night that I didn't realize what I was saying. And I didn't mean it either. But, Quinn can't just not like Ana. She has to have a reason.

I grab my phone and head to the bathroom. Someone's in there, so I head downstairs and head to the one down there. I stare in the mirror for a bit. It's stupid, but I kinda feel like a different person. More mature. I feel proud.

I finish up in the bathroom and head back upstairs. As I go to enter my room I see Quinn leaving the bathroom. She glares at me.

"Q, can we talk?"

She says nothing. She can't seriously be that mad at me.

"C'mon Quinn." I follow her into her room and I sit on her bed. She goes back to her desk and opens a book.

"Quinn. Talk to me. You've never been this distant from me."

"Yeah, well." She sighs, "I just don't understand. What's so special about her?"

I blink, trying to comprehend what she just said. "She's amazing. I don't know how to explain it."

"Why because she let you fuck?"

"No! H...how did you even know abou-"

"She wasn't quiet, let's just say."

I blush slightly. She's right.

"Okay. Understandable. But-"

"You know your mom's going to kill you, right?"

"Yes I know but listen-"

"And it wasn't very fun listening to that while I was trying to sleep!" She kept cutting me off and it was making me angry.

"Quinn!" I yelled. She jumped back. "Why don't you like her? You can't just not like someone!"

"I already told you," she said, standing up from her desk chair. "I get a bad vibe from her. I don't know what it is. And if I could tell you I would. But if I could tell you, I would."

"Well she means alot to me. So get used to it."

I walked out of her room with rage in me. How dare she? Who does she think she is? Ana didn't do anything wrong. And she never would. She's sweet, kindhearted; she could never.

She's nothing like me. If Q should get a bad feeling from anyone it should be me. I'm the monster. I'm the killer.

Speaking of which, I'm pretty hungry. I tread down the stairs and open the fridge. Mom and Jim are sitting at the kitchen table drinking coffee.

"Veronica." She states, finishing her sip and putting down her book.

"Yes?" I already know what's coming.

"Is your friend here?"

"Yes.."

"Tell her to come down. I want to meet her."

"She's still asleep mom." The last thing I need is for her to yell at me in front of Ana.

"Well when she wakes up. Did you guys get the blow up bed to work?"

"Oh, yea. It works great. She said thank you. I'll make sure she folds It up and puts it away before she comes down." The bed we didn't use..

"Okay. What's her name again?"

"Anastasia."

"What a nice name." She takes another sip of her coffee. "Well we have stuff to do today so it'll just be you two for a while. Also, thank you for cleaning the house yesterday. It looks lovely."

"You're welcome." I sneak in some of my meat and make a sandwich. I wrapped it in tin foil and hide it in a frozen yogurt box. I'm the only one who eats frozen yogurt, so no one grabs it.

I get a glass of water and walk back up to my room. I set them down on the desk when I hear shuffling behind me. I turn around to see Ana getting dressed. She looks so cute when she's tired.

"Is everything okay? I heard you and Quinn yelling." She says, stretching.

"Yea, I guess she could hear us last night." I chuckle. She blushes a bit, but smiles.

"That's okay. I enjoyed last night."

I go and sit on the bed with her, kissing her cheek. "I enjoyed last night, too. Maybe we could do it again?"

She laughs a little. "Excited are you?"
I nod. "We'll have to be more quiet this time, unless you want your sister to raise hell." She smiles at me.

"My mom wants to meet you. But she might yell at us for last night. Also, as far as she knows, you slept on a blow up bed, okay?"

She nods and follows me down the stairs.

"Mom, this is Anastasia, or Ana as I call her." They both turn to look at her. I notice that Quinn is in the kitchen, she gets her bagel and goes back upstairs.

"Anastasia, sit. We have much to talk about." I hear my mom say. We both sit at the small round table and talk to my mom for about a good hour. She asks about her parents, where she's from, her family; she seems to like her. She asks about school work and future plans. Jim seems to like her too. Although he isn't talking much, he has a content smile on his face as he listens to the conversation, as do I.

Ana rolls over and looks at me. Everyone had left so it was just her and I. I started to get a hunger pain but I ignored it as I stared into her chocolate eyes. We were so busy enjoying eachother's company. It was like I couldn't take my eyes off her, or my hands. I didn't ever wnat to let her go.

Another hunger pain hits and this time it's worse. It must have been noticeable because Ana suddenly got concerned.

"Are you okay?" She asked, sitting up.

"Yeah," I sit up with her. "I'm fine, just hungry." I know Ana is vegetarian, so I can eat my meat around her and not worry about her wanting a bite.

We walk downstairs to the kitchen where I make her some frosted flakes and me a sandwich. I take my first bite and you can smell it. It melts in my mouth.

I notice Ana staring at my sandwich with wide eyes.

"You okay?" I say while my mouth is still full of whoever this was.

"Yeah, your sandwich just smells good, that's all." I smiled, she must miss meat.

"Do you miss eating meat?" I asked, smirking.

"No, it just smells good. What is that? It doesn't look like ham or.."

I panicked. "It's, uh, deer meat. My step brother is a hunter so.."

She brings the spoon to her mouth and ate a bite of her cereal. I could tell she didn't believe me, but it wasn't a big deal since she didn't eat meat. She would never know.

Right?
