Soon, it's time to go to sleep. Martia shows
Quinn and I to our temporary room. She bids us goodnight and walks off, closing the door behind her. "Okay V, I think we should wait a while until we sneak out. Just until everyone's asleep, yeah?" Quinn asks. I stare out the window where I can see Neil chopping up more meat in his shed. "I wonder what kind of meat that was..." I mumble, but Quinn still heard it."Veronica! Focus! We need to get out of here! It doesn't look like it rained that bad, we should be able to walk. If we walk all the way up the path, we should reach a main road. Then, we could...I don't know, get a car to help us or something. Well not a car, someone in the car. I don't think cars talk..." She continued rambling, but I drifted into my own thoughts. What kind of meat was it? I could see him chopping it and I was dying to know. It wouldn't hurt to go check out the shed before we leave, would it?

After about two hours, all the lights in the house were off and Neil had left his shed. We started fumbling to get the window open. "Ugh this is hopeless! Veronica are you even trying!?" Quinn whisper - yelled. I looked up at her and sighed. "Yeah, I'm trying." I said.
Suddenly, I got a craving. I could almost
smell it. The meat. I wanted more meat. I shook my head, trying to focus on the window and get my thoughts straight. Then I remembered that there was meat in the shed outside. If I could just get the window open, I would be able to eat more meat. I grabbed the window and pushed Quinn out of the way. She fell over with a soft thud and rubbed her back. "Ow, V." She said. Usually, I would've felt bad and went to make sure she was okay, but all I could think of was the meat. It was like I was in a trance. I would do anything for more of that meat. It tasted like heaven. I pulled and pulled until finally, the window opened just a crack. I grabbed the curtain rod and put it between the window sill and the window. I pushed down on the rod and soon, the window was open enough for us to get through."Good job, V." I heard Quinn say, but I was
too busy climbing out the window to acknowledge her. As soon as I was out I darted for the shed, not caring that Quinn was calling me, saying she was stuck. I looked at the door on the shed and saw that it was locked. "Goddamnet!" I whisper - yelled and looked around. I went to the back porch, peering into the kitchen, I could see a key hook hanging by the door way. I fumbled with the window and it opened with ease. I started to climb in when I was suddenly pulled back."V what are you doing!? We have to get
out of here! Not escape and then go back in!" She had a strong hand on my shoulder, holding me back. I pushed her off me and sneered at her. "Hold on, would you!?" She looked at me with a hurt expression as I climbed back into the window. I tiptoed towards the doorway and looked at the set of keys. There were at least three key chains with about seventeen keys on each. I sighed and took all three. I walked out the back door and tried each key on the shed door."Veronica we're going to get caught. What
is up with you? Why is this meat so important? It's just mea-" I stopped her right there by putting my hand over her mouth. "You were too much of a little bitch to try it. If you tasted it, you would know why the fuck I'm doing this. But you didn't, because you're a coward. I need more of that meat, Quinn." I said, glaring at her the whole time. She widened her eyes and slightly nodded her head. I let her go and she sighed. "I'll go keep watch...." She trailed off and walked away. After what seemed to be the millionth key,
the shed finally unlocked. I did a small fist pump and opened the door. I could see things hanging, but I couldn't make out what they were. Quinn came back and I told her to put the keys back and to see if she could find a lighter. I started walking around, as much as I could in the small cabin. Soon, Quinn came back with a box of matches and an oil lamp. I lit the lamp and looked around. I could start to make out shapes of the carcasses hanging from the ceiling of the shed.Quinn and I both gasped as we saw what was hanging.

Horror"So, how do you like the meat?" Neil asked as I stuffed another fork full of meat in my mouth. "Honestly, some of the best meat I'd ever had." I replied and he smiled. "Well, I'm glad you like it." I did like it, but I couldn't help but wonder...
