Ch. 5 Recovery

The past few days after the incident have been... rough for you. Yuze seems to be coping well but he has always been like that. You on the other hand... well you have been so paniced. You are not taking this well. You honestly don't think you can handle the day of your session, however. None the less you had to push through.

The day came by quicker than you anticipated or wanted. You had been dreading today, now not wanting to go, but you had to even through Nezha would see through your stuggles and current inability to stay calm you got changed and walked out of your bedroom to be brought by a mini heart attack and you saw Nezha.... In your house.... Again..

Seeing him looking oh-so serious made you jump a little as you stumbled back slightly. Once you ask recovered you said / yelled (?) in disbelief at him "Nezha- I- WHAT ARE.YOU DOING IN MY HOUSE!? AGAIN?!"

He didn't answear the question instead he just said "Come on." He walked away saying nothing before he started to walk out the house, you followed him you were quiet until he started to go off route. "H-Hold on Nezha. Where are we going. This isn't the direction you to where usually teach me..." You said with a slight hint of curiosity in your voice, he didn't answear. He remained silent for a few minutes before he answered "I... I have been observing you since last week. It appears these recent events has taken more of an impact you than I thought." Nezha told you with what seemed like to be regret in his eyes.

He still could not believe you had gotten in danger who knows how many days before the scheduled session.

The place he had taken you was the outskirts of the forest you and Nezha usually train in. It looked beautiful, it was just a simple river stream with big rocks here and there but still, it was breathtaking. "Y/n." He said sternly, it felt... wierd for the both of you. After so long of Nezha calling you 'Lotus' or 'Lotus Blossom' and after so long of you hearing it.. it felt wierd for him to use your name. "I-..." He struggled to get the words out but he eventually got there. "I am sorry... about... what happened... I-I know it is not my fault and definitely is not your own. I just..." Nezha sighs "I am responsible in case anything happens to you. And I would not forgive myself if anything... worse were to happen.. so.. " He said as he took out a basket "Let us just... take it easy Lotus, you can.. let everything out if you need someone to o-or... a shoulder to cry on.. I am here for yo-" He was interrupted by a hug from you, it was tight as if you did not want to go through that again, he did not blame you... "you have been through a lot..." He spoke softly and he accepted your tight embrace with his much more softer one as he heard your light sobs.

After a few minutes of silence, Nezha pulled away gently "Come on Lotus Blosssom... let us set up for us to eat..." He said with a soft smile. As he and you set up this lovely meal out with traditional Chinese Foods and a variety of fruits for you both to enjoy.

His regret and guilt..... it's just building up, waiting to come out in a fury, but what would cause it exactly...? Who knows, but for now.. He's enjoying this time with you. Nezha wants to never let this happen again, he wants you to keep you safe.

But....He knows he can't keep you safe forever, he knows if more word gets out about you training under him... Things might get worse...

He seems lost in thought at it, until you break the chain of though when you realise he is not listening to you talking. "Hey, Nezha." You snap you fingerings infront of his face "Huh? Oh.. yes Lotus..?" He asks while turning to face you, he never thought in the span of a few weeks he would care this much about a mortal, "Are you... Listening?" You ask with slight concern in your voice as he never usually does this he looks to the ground and softly shakes his head physically saying 'no'  "I apologise... I just... I do not want that to happen again. I know you will always be in some kind of trouble so... if you want me to stop training you I will understand." He said in deep sadness as if he didnt want to stop training you, but he knew it would be the best solution to keep you safe even though he did not want that to happen.

You looked at him like he was insane, you did not know how to take in what the just said glancing at you surroundings at a rapid speed, but you can see the sadness and regret in his eyes, he did not want you to leave and neither did you, after a bit of silence you answered him. "Look, i understand that you are trying to protect me and all of that but, I still want you be trained by you. Honest. I can handle whatever demon or danger comes at me." You say with a slight smile as he sighs of relief before you get up close to him resting back on his arm "But you seriously need to teach me self defence. Right?" You say as The Lotus Prince chuckles to himself while gently pushing you off him "Indeed, but that will be a lesson for next week."

Y/n nodded in delight, despite the context they were happy to do something other and the meditation they've been doing for the past couple of weeks. Y/n and Nezha spent the rest of their time together just relaxing and eating, simply just enjoying eachothers company until the sunset and Nezha had to take you home.
