Ch.11 Meeting The Monkey King

You have only been laying in the grass for a short while before you heard movement. 'Nezha can not be back already, I know he is fast but he's not THAT fast.' You thought as you sat up in alert, of what was happening however, it turned out to be a simple monkey to your own relief, "Oh thank the heavens." You exhaled before walking over to the monkey slowly as to not startle the poor creature "Hello little guy.. Where are you friends?" You asked, your voice soft and gentle as you raised a hand to the monkie you chirped happily as it went closer to you before it eventually jumped on you "woah-" you exclaimed as you were pushed to the ground "Hey little guy, I did not expect you to do that." You said as you held the monkey putting it on your lap, it laid there peacefully as you let out a sigh of content, the little monkey became more relaxed and safe as you gently stoke it, "See. I'm not an enemy, I'm a friend little guy." You spoke in a soft manner as you, yourself felt more relaxed than you ever had in the past couple of days.

"Chim!" You heard a voice call out, one you didn't recognise, but one the monkey that was resting on your lap did as it chirped happily, as if it was answering the voice that had called out. "Your... Your name is Chim?" You asked chuckling slightly "Hey bud!" The voice said again above you, as you looked up you seen that it was a monkey on a cloud, "I see you have Chim." The monkey then spoke as he lowered himself, Chim climbed on your shoulder, and then your head to jump up the the monkey that's on the cloud "I am the might Sun Wukong, the Monkey King!" He proudly stated "This little rascal tends to wander off. Though he doesn't typically to trust humans this easily." He then mentioned looking over to Chim who was on his shoulder. "I'm L/n Y/n." You said to The Monkey King a little nervous, you heard about his story of The Journey To The West, "Well nice to meet you Y/n. Any reason on why your out here?"  The stone monkey asked you with a curious look "Umm... Well, my master brought me here because I've been stressed with training lately." You explain with a little white lie, since you are not sure on his current stance with Nezha.

" 'Master' eh? And who might that 'master' be?" He asked smirking while cocking an eyebrow up, your eye twitched, "That is none of your business." You simply responded to him. "Come on, wanna have some fun? I'm sure your master wouldn't mind." Wukong then said taking note of your irritation, you sighed some of your irritation out "I'm sure he would Monkey King." You then told him "Come on~ bud!" Wukong tried to convince you "Look, my master will be back any second and-"

"WUKONG!" The familiar voice of Nezha yelled as he landed in front of you. "What are you doing here?" He asked sceptical "Relax Nezha, I was just looking for Chim. Now what are YOU doing here? And with a basket?" He asked confused of what the Lotus Prince was doing "I was getting lunch for my student - The one who will succeed me in fact." He said with slight pride as if he was challenging Monkey King. "Wait, Nezha is your master?" Wukong asked you tilting his head to get a better look at you "What 'cha do to catch his attention?" he then asked, Wukong's presence alone annoyed Wukong, him seeing this and not desiring to fight the Lotus Prince (for once) just laughed "I'm gonna go, see ya Nezha, see ya bud!" He spoke before he speed away on his cloud

"Is Monkey King usually this annoying?" You asked looking up at Nezha with an unamused expression "You have no idea." He answered as he sat down, legs crossed in front of you. You looked inside the basket and seen different type of fruit and meat. Although Nezha primarily stuck to the fruit, you took interest in both the meat and the fruit. Eating in a comfortable silence, neither of you going to mention Sun Wukong for the rest of the day.
