At Kenway Manor, in the study, the Frye twins and their friend Victoria Reid were gathered around a large table with a map of the building and its surroundings in front of them. They tried to think of a way to get into the well guarded building that was almost impossible to access. It was an important mission for the Brotherhood but also for the city.

"What if we put Rooks here and there as backup, and on the roofs", Victoria suggested. "They'd get rid of the Blighters on the rooftops and cover us for our exit."

"The problem, Vic, is that we can't afford to come in numbers," Evie countered, although she thought the idea was quite good. "We need to be as discreet as possible."

"The Rooks can join us later. Vic and I will take care of the Blighters, and then we'll join y..."

Brother Frye couldn't finish his sentence, the office door was violently opened. It was young Jack, breathless and distraught.

"Jacob! Evie! Vic! It's... It's Lorry. She's... she's been at it again."

The Frye twins looked up, one holding back a sigh and the other not hesitating to release it. As for Victoria, her anger began to rise. The said Lorry was a good Assassin in her own right, but sometimes her excessive arrogance and ego problems were a real nuisance and had almost compromised the Brotherhood several times already by her overzealousness. Even Sergeant Abberline had already reprimanded the Fryes and the Assassins for this woman's blunders. Every corner of the city where she acted, there was a fifty-fifty chance of collateral damage, and not the slightest. It had annoyed and angered the Frye twins, as well as other Assassins who had worked with her. Victoria looked at the twins:

"I'll care of her," she declared darkly before turning to Jack. "Where is she?"

"At Whitechapel station. Follow me, Vic."

Jacob's adopted son ran off and the Fryes' friend followed. They got into a carriage and set off. Jack then explained to Victoria what had happened. The more she heard, the more her blood boiled in her veins. She'd never held Lorry in her heart, and she hadn't understood why she'd been recruited — and neither of the Frye twins had.

"What are you going to do?"

"Get it over with, once and for all, kiddo."

Lorry had caused a small traffic jam a few yards away from the station with his latest overzealous move. The workers and other citizens were howling with anger. The street had become an arena after a carriage had overturned. Victoria got out of her car, already taking her cane-sword out of her coat. Jack also left the horse-drawn carriage, but the brunette turned to him with a wave of her hand and he stopped short.

"Get some Rooks to disperse the crowd."

Somewhat disappointed at not helping the Frye's friend, the young teenager obeyed her order. He turned around and went in search of the Rooks. Victoria weaved in and out of disgruntled men and women whom the police were having trouble controlling. One of the officers recognised the Assassin and gave her a nasty look.

"Yes I know," she sighed wearily. "Manage the crowd while the Rooks come in for backup."

She didn't let the policeman speak as she continued forward and found herself in the improvised arena. With a slow gesture, she put her cane over her shoulder. Lorry was lashing out at a man who had dared to mess with her. He had done nothing more than defend another who had insulted him for causing all this trouble. Victoria stopped a few feet away from her.

"Stop it, Lorry! You've done enough damage!"

The hooded woman held back her fist, which she was about to slam into the poor man's face again, on the verge of fainting. She recognised the brunette's voice. She smiled slyly. She released the poor victim's collar and sat up straight.
