chapter four (California)

I moved to California;  I moved  2bed condo in California. I go on the road with tally's sometime even though things were not moving as I thought it will but through tally , I was able to get few celebrities client and I was a able lunch my own make up line. With few money I have I  was hoping to get a office space but for now my second bedroom is my office and my storage for my makeup product.
It tally's birthday and it at heerden vineyard; the vineyard has a hotel, wine tasting,spa on the ground. I was so pumped cause I know alot of tally's celebrities male and female will be there ; time to mingle with the stars I said to myself . The whole hotel has been booked for the weekend for her birthday. She did a campaign for them . So they have hosting the party which is going to be a good publicity for them for they just open a spa. It a celebrities hotspot, We got to the hotel on Friday. Tally assistant handed out the schedule , we  had a few minutes before the tour tally's set up for us begins, she will join us later,  We were welcome by the manager of the hotel with a friendly smiles and a welcome drinks, it was me, tally assistant, stylist, tally best friend,and mom that arrived together, I may never have the opportunity to stay in an exclusive hotel like this  So let make the most of its; we walked around towards the side of the hotel. There were few staff by the vineyard.  We were at  wine cellar it looked rustic and like a time capsule, there was a table setting like a dinner table and chairs it was for guest who came for tour of the cellar and wine tasting , the sommelier tells you about each history of each bottle you tasted.  He told  us about how heerden's wine is the most decorated wine in the country and how it a legacy estate, with the rest still inside , I excuse myself and stood outside to get some air, the view from where I was standing you can see part of the vineyard ,plus the sun was already setting, I took a picture of the sunset, this beautiful, I sighed, is it breathtaking I can't get enough of this view he said , I looked up to see the person next to me, he is tall, has the most gorgeous chiseled jawline I have ever seen, his  eyes is like blue with a hint of brown around them.  I have a thing with guys with broad shoulder , whether black or white , I'm a sucker for that, but with this guy looking like a Greek God with his eyes and shoulder, i know he must be important cause the hotel is not open to the public that Friday and Saturday.  I Thought he must be one of tally's celebrities friends, come back to your sense Lara and talk I said. Yes it is breathtaking , do you want to see  more , yes I said without resistance, okay he said
He said hi am Maxwell ; she replied hi am Lara. He smile and said like Lara croft (joking) oh no mine is omolara (it originated from a Yoruba name from west Africa) wow cute name for a goddess like you. I smiled  So omolara what do you do? He asked her ; am a makeup artist;  she nodded. That cool he said to her. So where are you from Lara ? Am originally from south Africa . I have been to cape town before. Did you enjoy your stay there she asked. Yes I did ; oh I had a good time. How long have you been in America. 3years now she answered him. During the 3years ; have you gone home? She answered no but soon, we climb this steps and there was a binoculars there I look through the binoculars, and the view from there was so magical, I took a picture again , I said I see why this is a hotspot for celebrities.it amazing, he said am glad you like it ,  I glancing at him when ever he is not looking, at one point our eye meet, he smiled and look away. We stood there for few minutes, my phone rings tally's assistant is looking for me, it almost dinner time. I need to go my attention is needed,  he answered me nice to meet you Lara , nice to meet you too  max. I went down to meet the group, Lara where were you, I just stepped out to watch the sunset , we thought maybe you went to bed without saying anything. Oh no I just got lost watching the sunset. Dinner is done and everyone return to there room.

It the D-Day , got to tally's room I helped her with her wig, I did tally makeup , while her stylist brought out her custom-made designer grown. after I was done with tally's makeup, I went to my room to get dressed, I wore a v-neck tube one shoulder midi length dress, I pair it up with a diamond I bought myself for my birthday with my hair up , am ready. The party was awesome, I went to touch up tally's make up ,I decided to touch up mine, coming out of the bathroom, I saw max charting with the manager, i wanted to go meet him but I decided not to, he also tried to get my attention when I was talking with tally's sister she wanted me to help her refresh her makeup ,we went back , few minutes we were done and max was waiting there , he called me Lara ,  I told tally sister I will meet her inside, hi again I didn't see you at the party?, He answered I tried to avoid the paparazzi since they're many by the gate and some inside the party, do you want to take a walk with me he asked me, I nodded, we left the party area, there was an awkward silent while walking through the vineyard, I asked him so max do you have any siblings? I had a twin brother , he died when we were younger, am so sorry max I told him , it fine so do you have a siblings  he asked me, I have one older sister and babysister.   We went back to steps sat there, he gave me his jacket, his fragrance is so irresistible as I smell his jacket.

We talked for an hour, all he did was asked me questions about me , wine's, I asked him how did know about wine he said cause he study viticulture and enology. I didn't know who he has, I guess he doesn't want me to know also or does he like it that I don't know him ? He checked his phone and said Lara   can I walked your back , my friends send me a text and I think some happened, oh I hope it not serious , it not serious he at the party ,I think he is tipsy before he make a fool of himself let me go and helped him. I smile. We walked back and drew was already outside, I noticed drew cause I have seen his picture at tally's he is the CEO of her records label. He kissed me on the forehead  and said good night. I smile while blushing . I went straight to bed,
Next morning ,there was a knock on the door, who is it ? room service, I never ordered any room service I said , it a delivery from Mr Maxwell I opened the door , she pushed the cart in , it was a English breakfast, with rose's and a card that said good morning gorgeous, with his number on it.  I called him hi max it Lara
Maxwell: hi Lara how was your night gorgeous?
Lara: my night was nice, I got your delivery, do you do this with Every lady you meet
Maxwell: no he said firmly, I made an exception for a African goddess (he smiled)
Lara: I see ;
Maxwell : what are you scheduled for today.
Lara: am leaving for LA, I will there for few days.
Maxwell; okay,  I got to go Lara , talk later right.
I dressed up , packed up , waiting for my taxi to pickup ;I left for the airport.
