chapter nine

It the D-Day for my product launch; all my hardworking is going to finally pay off, thanks to max who changed my story, people will get to see my office, our new launch, he took us months for us to be ready.
I Lara now have people working for me,  five people planing and development guys, two people in charge of social, Three people in design and package, project manager and creative director.  Marketing guy.  Haired three new makeup artist recommend by my former mentor Regina Meyer's,
We invited social influencers, I reached out to my old client , invited Regina, the heerden's, Aisha and Anthony, drew parents, drew entertainment section will cover the event, tally's, the people I wanted to be there could not make it ,my family .
I was sad but the show must go on , one of the makeup artist did my makeup , oh we have a in house hair stylist now, he did my hair, wore a sliver see through dress (NB I use the photo as inspiration of what Lara wore to her launch party).

I have max with me every thing will be fine, we walked the red carpet, I talked with the journalist who interview me, my friends show up for me, even people who I didn't think will show up came; Mrs heerden congratulations dear we are so proud of you, this is lovely she said to me, nodded in agreement with his wife.

Max pull me aside babe am so proud of you, you worked hard all your dreams are coming true.
Thank you babe , I appreciate everything things you have done for me, I love you I said to him.
Babe I have one surprise for you don't be mad , I know how much you want your family here , before he could finished his sentence tears roll out of my eyes ,  some one tap me on my shoulders, I turned around it was my mother, my two sisters , I hugged my mom as I bust out tears, I haven't seen my family in five years, you did it Lara am so proud of you love, hugged my two sisters, I thought you guys can't make it, we wanted to surprise you said Tara, oh my surprise, my baby you looked stunning, said my mom
Thank you mom, I showed my family my office, before going back to the party, I made some speech about the product, our aim and goal as a company, everyone clapped, my mom was beaming with a smile of pride.

I was still busy talking with people,
Maxwell took his parents to  meet my mom he introduced them to each other, I saw Mrs heerden hugging my mom. She told my mom you have an amazing daughter, I hope one day she becomes one daughter Dr heerden told my mom, I couldn't believe it when my mom told me, everytime I see that man he always have a cold looks on his face and always have things to say, Maxwell also know he dad don't like me that much.
The party was a success, I can take couple of days off to spend with my family, they were staying at hotel in the vineyard.
I spent few days showing my family around, it was so nice to have them around, show them our house, the person who seems to be enjoying every thing the most was Tara.

It was getting to the end of my family visit, since it summer Mrs heerden asked us to join them at there Malibu beach home before they leave, we were at the heerden's when I started feeling sick, my mom and Mrs heerden said I needed rest it maybe the street of working , I lay down but I was throwing up all the food I eat, my perfumes smells funny, I feel tired, Dr heerden said it may be exhaustion,  my sister asked Mrs heerden about any pharmacy nearby, she went got me some pills and pregnancy test, I took the text it was false, she said it feels like am pregnant, truth be told I have been having lots of sex with max ,so it possible that what I thought, but to the heerden's they didn't see it that way, he has been with couple of ladies before me not one as been pregnant so I guess why they didn't think that why, a doctor was invited over , give me a drip , took some home pregnancy test , nothing show.  But the drip made it worse, I vomited more, nothing seems to go down . except for juice and peanut butter jelly sandwich.
Dr heerden said if I don't get better by morning I will be taken to the hospital, next morning I was feeling much better, everyone was mocking me the way I was running to throw up, I didn't find it funny and I did not know why I was crying like a baby, max hugged me and assure me they were only joking then meant no harm.

Babe do want ice cream max said, he brought me the ice cream, after ice cream I was able to eat a little; the next day we had to drive my family to the airport I didn't want them to go but assure me they will visit soon, I was crying, I started shaking, before I knew it I fainted, rushed to the hospital, they did scan and find out I was six weeks pregnant.
Doctor informed my family and the heerden's, I really wish I could have seen max face.
Doctor are you Lara is pregnant, she did home test nothing show,
It very common ,Mr Maxwell, if not for the over heated she felt that made her collapse , she can go for months with out knowing she's pregnant.
Oh my God, she is going to be okay doctor, she will be fine, she just needs to be on bed rest for couples of days, she will be fine.
Dr heerden hugged his son Lara will be fine, Lara mom and my mom were holding tight, Lara sisters worries as there flight is tomorrow , they cancelled there flight that night  , Lara moved there flight for the next day, Lara mom's stayed,
We all in the room, we could see Lara, I hold her hand I said to her Lara please you have to wake up tomorrow, we always talk about having kids if this is going to be much for you Lara , please just come back to me I need you more, I think I have cried two times in my life, the day my twin died, grandpa died, I didn't even cried when I find out I had 50percent chance of getting anyone pregnant, it said 50 not zero, so am good.
My parents took the James back home I stayed behind, Lara woke up at midnight feeling hungry ,my baby don't have an idea of how we all were scared and worried, I  called home to tell them that she's awake, everyone was happy, Lara sister didn't get to see Lara , cause of their flight but her mom stay behind to take care of Lara for the few days she was admitted at the hospital.
My mom was happy about the pregnancy news the most at least to me.
Am going to be a dad, thank you Lara James, they did test,  redo the scan it shows we going to have twins, but we have to wait few weeks to know the sex of the baby, I told my mom, who told my dad after I told her to keep to herself, Lara mom didn't know about the twins, cause we both agreed to keep to our self but I was too happy, my friends send flowers over to the hospital,
My dad got Lara moved to hospital near home, Lara mom is an angel this woman took care of me and Lara.
Lara was confined to bed rest at home , she worked from home, Lara mom stay for a month before she left and she promised to be back before Lara give birth.
I was hiding the new from drew and Anthony , we were told by our parents to wait until Lara finished her first trimester;
My mom hired an extra help to us till Lara is able to leave bed rest;  with bed rest that didn't stop my baby to have sex with me, even when am scared it might hurt the baby.

Lara said it will not,  I heard people talking about how sex during pregnancy was amazing for them, I get to experience it and it was amazing.
After four months of bed rest Lara was clear by the doctor's, my mom don't want Lara out of the bed rest, she was worried , at least she her self was pregnant with twins, she couldn't over do it cause Lara will know I told her.
I told Lara do you think we need to buy another house  before the babies arrives, what wrong with this house it has four bedrooms plus extra bed  we could fix up for her mom to stay in  she told me, I mean I just need we need more space for the kids,  I didn't want to buy a new house but my parents want us to move close to then , so they will not have to drive three hours to see their grandkids.
I will tell Lara, plus it closer's to where my friends stays, country club, Lara this house is already on the market.
She was furious why will you put the house on the market  without you telling me but I know what Lara like , at least with what she have been saying so far, she likes her views, a big kitchen, outside kitchen and pool.
I showed her some pictures of the places, all this happened before Lara was off bed rest,  I know Lara like the way our living area and kitchen is open, she wanted a nice tube and shower , it has to be modern.
We found Three place that we both liked, one is five minutes drive to my parents, while the two are closer to them. But we both love the five minutes drive to my parents.
We are going to be neighbors with drew,

Drew was happy we are moving closer but want to know why I left the place I said it closer's to the vineyard,; I told drew the reason Lara is on bed rest is because she is pregnant, my best friend was so happy for me; congratulations max , I will be a uncle he said.
I need to see  Lara, drew came over to our places, brought some flowers, donuts like he knows Lara have been craving those.
He was happy for us, have told Anthony yet, no I will tell him when it time I told drew , who was happy he  was the first to know, after Lara was clear from bed rest I told Anthony.
Since we found our forever home time to move, get thing in order before the babies arrives.

The house was ready for us to move in , Lara was already six months into her pregnancy.
