Third Person POV

It was about nine at night and two people were still at the skate park, practicing their tricks.

"Bend your legs a little more on that rail slide" the boy said.

He had dark hair and green eyes and was taller than the girl. She had light pink hair and brown eyes. The two of them wore baggier clothing and vans that were a little torn up. The girl took the boy's advice and slid down the stair rail smoother than before.

"Thanks, Miya" the girl smiled at him. "Any time, Y/n" he replied to her.

Y/n checked her phone and looked at the time.

"Damn, it's getting late. We should go home" she said to Miya. "Wanna go to Joe's first?" he asked. "Sure" she replied with a small smile on her face.

They left the skate park and made their way to Sia la Luce.

"Are you excited for tomorrow?" Y/n asked Miya. "I don't know, it's crazy to think that this'll be our last first day of school" he replied to her. "Yeah, it's feels like time flies" she said before staring at the sky.

The stars were scattered all over the sky and it looked like a bunch of tiny little dots, but in reality they were grand in size and gave off so much energy and light.

"They're pretty...the stars" Y/n said. "Yeah they are, it's crazy to think that they're literally years away from us" he replied to her.

Miya looked over at Y/n and watched as the stars were reflecting from her eyes. He still had a huge crush on her, but she was someone he couldn't have.

"Are you two gonna continue stargazing or what?" Joe asked them.

They both snapped back to reality and looked at him standing there in front of his restaurant. Joe was thirty one now. Not much had changed about him, he was a little bigger when it came to muscles, but that was about it.

"So are you two excited for your last year of high school?" he asked them. "Some parts, yes other parts, no" Miya said. "Yeah it's gonna be easier because we're getting less work but we still have end of year exams and stuff" Y/n continued. "Well enjoy high school while it lasts, before you know it, you're gonna be in college...don't be afraid to take risks" he added. "We're not like you, we don't go making out with every woman we see" Miya had a troublesome smirk on his face. "Well that's cause you can't get a woman to make out with you" Joe replied to him calmly.

Miya's jaw dropped on the floor and Y/n was laughing her butt off.

"That's not true! If I wanted to, I'd get all the girls!" he was flustered. "Maybe you should take notes from a guy like me and maybe bulk up a little. Chicks dig the muscles" Joe suggested to him. "I'll pass" Miya replied. "I'm messing with you" Joe messed with Miya's hair. "I'm going home now, I'll see you tomorrow Miya, Good night Kojiro" Y/n got up. "Good night Y/n, tell your uncle to read his emails" Joe said to her. "I'll see you tomorrow" Miya smiled at Y/n.

She walked out the door and skated to her house.

"So...." Joe spoked up. "So....?" Miya asked. "I know you still like her" he replied to Miya. "I knew you were gonna bring that up" Miya gently punched the counter. "So you don't deny it?" Joe asked. "I can't lie about that" he replied. "So...are you gonna let your chances slip away or are you gonna make a move?" Joe went on. "You know I can't do that" Miya quickly said. "Oh really, why?" Joe inquired. "Well for starters, Kaoru would kill me and then her mom would be at my grave and also...never mind" Miya spoke faster than his mind could think. "If I were you, I wouldn't let her get away. That'd be a huge mistake" Joe replied before taking a sip of wine.

That left Miya thinking, there was something he wasn't telling Joe. He thought about it, and then decided not to.

"Anyways, you got school in the morning, get outta here" Joe said to him. "Good night" Miya got. "You too" Joe said.

Y/n's POV

"Mom, I'm home!" I called out to my mother. "I missed you, how was your day?" she asked. "It was pretty good, I improved my rail slide today" I told her about my day. "That's good, how's Miya?" she asked. "He's doing fine" I said. "That's nice to hear" she said. "How was work?" I asked her. "It was good, I'm getting better at working with the AI" she said. "That's amazing!" I said to her. "Yeah your uncle is finally gonna stop yelling at me" she joked around. "Me personally, I would not let my little brother boss me around like that" I said to my mom. "I'll let him have his fun because deep down he knows he needs me" my mom said. "Damn" I said to her. "Good night Y/n" my mom said. "Good night mom" I replied to her.

She was working with my uncle and his calligraphy place and she liked it a lot. It's really funny, we saw each other grow up. Because she had me when she was basically a kid, I saw how much she changed. Some days were easier and other days were hard for the both of us. I'm just really happy with where she is right now. Michiko Sakurayashiki is a good mother and she always has been.

I went upstairs and took a quick shower and then I went to my room to get everything ready for tomorrow. My bag was packed and I set out my clothes. I was gonna wear white cargo pants and an aqua shirt that was oversized. I paired the shirt with some dunks and that was the outfit. Once I was done getting ready, I got a text message on my phone. 'good night my love <3333' it read. 'i'll see u tomorrow ❤︎' I replied and went to sleep happily.
