Y/n's POV

Things were pretty tense the entire car ride there. I was wondering what I did this time because I honestly didn't know what I did.

"Mom, why are we going to the Shindos?" I asked her. "I'm not sure I can say, just try to keep your composure when we head over there" she warned me. "...okay" I replied to her.

When we pulled up, I was shocked at how beautiful the house looked. To me, it was like a castle and it was crazy to think that my mom gave up working here.

"Do you want me to park your car?" a butler asked my mom. "No, I think I'll do it" she declined his offer.

She seemed a little on edge with everything going on. We got out of the car and made our way to the front door. A man with blue hair opened the door and greeted us. He had blue hair and red eyes, and then I realized who it was: Adam. I've heard a lot about him, but I never encountered him, nor have I skated with him. I heard about what he did to Reki and my uncle and I can't forgive him for that.

"Michiko you came!" he smiled at my mother. "I'm not staying long" she said with a deadpanned expression.

I felt my mom's hand at my elbow and I noticed how protective she had become of me.

"You must be Y/n, it's very nice to meet you. You look just like your mother" he held out his hand for a handshake.

I walked past him without touching his hand.

"She reminds me of you, Michi" Ainosuke said to my mother. "Don't call me that" my mom said to him. "If you're gonna talk about me, make it a little less obvious" I added. "Feisty I see, she doesn't know yet does she?" Ainosuke asked my mother. "You can break the news if you want to" my mom said to him.

What the hell is going on?

Ainosuke opened the door to a room and there were four people sitting there. Three women who shared a resemblance, who I assumed were sisters. They looked like the oldest ones there, there also was a man there. He looked slightly older than my mother and Ainosuke. He had navy hair that was turning grey and he looked like a mess.

"Have a seat" Ainosuke said to us.

My mother and I sat down.

"I realized, I haven't properly introduced myself. I'm Ainosuke Shindo, your uncle. That man is your father, Yuuka Shindo, the woman in white is your grandmother and these are your great aunts. It's nice to meet you Y/n Sakurayashiki-Shindo" Ainosuke smiled at me. "Nobody's ever referred to me as 'Shindo', you'd be the first" I said, trying to keep my cool. "Your legal name doesn't have the Shindo last name?" Yuuka asked me.

My mother looked at me nervously.

"I don't understand why it would be added to my name, you were never involved in my life and I had no idea you looked so...disappointing" I said. "Hey! I may have not been there, but I'm still your father and you should respect me!" Yuuka yelled at me. "You don't deserve my respect, if you wanted to be considered my father, you'd be there since day one" I said. "Michiko! Is this how you raised my granddaughter!" my grandmother said to her.

My mom looked uncomfortable and I felt terrible for her.

"She raised me perfectly and without your son's help! I question how you raised him, I'd be beyond embarrassed if I had a sorry excuse of a son like Yuuka!" I yelled at her.

She let out a dramatic gasp.

"All of you should be ashamed. My mother was sixteen when I was born, she was a child having a child! Where were any of you when I was born? Did you guys help her? Did you guys even acknowledge my existence? Do you guys actually care or are you trying to save your reputation?" I asked.

Yuuka was going to say something but I cut him off.

"Tell me the truth, I tried of these bullshit lies. I'm almost positive you never even gave my mom decent apology!" I stared my biological father dead in the eyes. "For your information, we tried to contact Michiko when you were five, but she fled to Tokyo and cut us off" one of my great aunts said. "I don't blame her. Knowing that I'm related to all of you makes me so sick that I want to die. Now if you will excuse me, me and my mother are leaving. Try to contact us again and this entire family will crumble, don't try me" I got up and took my mothers hand.

I was walking out of the house with my mother and then I was stopped.

"Y/n come back here!" it was Yuuka's voice. "Go on without me" I said to my mom. "Are you sure?" she asked. "I'm positive" I gave my mom a reassuring smile.

I sat back down on the couch and my father gave me a guilty look.

"Is there any way I can make it up to you?" he asked. "I think I can take care of my college tuition by myself, considering me and my mother have been supporting ourselves for almost eighteen years. But if you wanna pay for me to go to college, you can and then never talk to me again.

I gave him a sarcastic smile.

"It's a deal then" he said. "Thank you, I'll be taking this bouquet. I'm assuming it was for us" I took the flowers off of the table and got up. "I'd say it was nice meeting you, but me and you both know that's a lie. I never want to see you, your ugly ass cousin, or your irrational mother and aunts ever again. Have an amazing life without me father dearest" I left for good. "Check the Sk8 app, Bubblegum" Ainosuke whispered to me before I left.

My eyes went wide, he knew my S name, but he must have been throwing me off. When I entered the car, my mother smiled at me.

"You're stronger than me, thank you for that" she said. "Wanna burn some flowers when we get home?" I asked her. "Sure" she gave me a small smile.

I knew she was stressed out, but my remarks made her smile. When we got home, we went to the backyard and threw the flowers on the ground. There were hyacinths and tulips.

"Goodbye and good riddance" I said as the flowers became flames in front of my eyes. "You're not mad at me Y/n?" my mom asked. "No, I know you're trying your best" I replied to her. "I love you, you'll always be my one and only girl" she said to me. "You'll always be the perfect mother I love so much" I replied to her.
