Y/n's POV
I woke up the next morning before Miya and thought about last night. I still couldn't believe what he had said. I went to the kitchen and got another bottle of water for Miya and made him some toast. When the toast popped, Miya woke up.
"Y/n...what happened?" his head shot up. "You got drunk last night and I took you home" I explained to him. "My head hurts" he complained. "You're hung over, what's the last thing you remember from last night?" I asked Miya. "We were at the party and I was drinking...a can of beer" he tried to remember. "Okay, I made you some toast" I said. "Thanks" Miya said to me before eating.
He took a few bites of the toast and sipped on the water.
"Oh...sorry about last night" Miya apologized. "Don't worry about it" I said.
After he finished eating, he got up.
"I think I'm gonna head out now" Miya said to me. "...oh...okay" I said to him. "Bye Y/n, thanks for everything" he walked out the door.
As soon as the door closed, I hid my face in my hands and sat down on the kitchen floor. I was internally screaming.
Did I mess things up? Was he actually drunk? Was that a test?
"I've never seen anyone that much of a mess, you truly are my child" I swear my mother just spawned out of nowhere. "Where did you come from?" I asked her.
I looked up and saw her standing there, still in her pajamas.
"I heard the door open and close so I came down here" she explained. "Oh" I said. "So...what happened last night, I'm interested" my mom asked me. "Miya just got drunk, that's it" I replied blandly. "That's it? Then why are you on the floor as if something just happened?" my mom asked. "Nothing happened...I'm just tired" I lied. "Okay, if you're so tired, go upstairs and sleep in an actual bed" my mom said. "Okay" I got up and went to my room and laid in bed.
I fell back asleep, thinking of Miya.
Miya's POV
It was around eleven in the morning now and I went to Sia La Luce.
"Oh hey Miya!" Reki was there. "Hey" I said.
I took a seat and rested my head on the table.
"What happened to you?" Joe came out from the kitchen. "I messed up big time" I said to him. "What happened, last time I saw you, Y/n's boyfriend was being a little b- cagna" Joe corrected himself.
I didn't understand Italian, but I knew it was a bad word.
"Oh yeah about that...they broke up so we went to this party the night after and then I got drunk so she took me home" I explained. "You just gave us so much information all at once" Joe said. "So they ended things, so you two partying literally the day after?" Reki asked me. "Yeah, that was her way of coping" I explained. "But you were the one who got drunk and you're hungover now" Joe said. "Pretty much...yeah" I took a sip of coke.
Joe took a deep breath in and looked everywhere but at me.
"Reki...how old are you again?" he asked Reki. "Twenty two, why?" Reki asked. "How are you older than Miya yet his life is more complicated than yours?" Joe asked. "Hey, hey, hey, his life may be complicated, but mine is pretty interesting too. Just saying" Reki added that last part.
Joe paced backed and forth.
Joe's POV
"So Miya...why do you think you messed up" I asked him. "I don't know what type of drunk person I am!" he whispered-yelled.
Reki and I looked at each other and laughed. I parted my hair out of my face and looked back at Miya.
"So that's why you're stressed out?" I asked him. "Yeah! I don't know why you guys are laughing, this is a serious problem" Miya rambled on. "And why is this a serious problem?" Reki asked. "What if I said something stupid?" Miya asked. "Everyone says dumb shit when they're drunk" I reassured him. "I know I said dumb shit! But what if I told Y/n how I felt?" Miya asked us.
We both stopped joking around and looked at him.
"He has a point" Reki said. "I know he has a point! I'm thinking of good advice to give him. Do you think I come up with that stuff on command!?" I asked Reki.
I thought for a few moments.
"Okay, there's a chance that you didn't confess drunk, also if you did, she probably wants you to confess sober so you remember it. So don't worry" I gave Miya an awkward smile. "...well if it makes you feel any better, I've done some dumb stuff while drunk" Reki said to Miya. "Well that's not surprising, it's you" Miya said in a heartbeat.
Miya never missed a chance to slander Reki.
"I never told you guys this...only Langa knows, but I gave myself a tattoo when I was drunk" Reki explained. "Where?" I gasped with excitement. "It's not as cool as yours" Reki said.
He took off his band-aid on his middle finger and there was a stick and poke of a broken skateboard on it.
"You did pretty well for a drunk person" I complimented him. "Thanks, but don't say anything cause I haven't told my mom" Reki explained. "I should text her right now" Miya had a mischievous smile on his face. "You don't even have her number!" Reki yelled at Miya. "Oh really? I pulled up to her house the other night, I also said hey to Koyomi" Miya made that up real quick. "Very funny" Reki said. "Anyways, don't stress yourself out too much and for the love of god, don't shut Y/n out. I swear I'll be the one stressing you out if you do" I said to Miya. "Oh um okay, yeah...I'm gonna leave now since I actually have um...homework" Miya left.
Those kids are growing up too fast I thought to myself
