~~ Liam's POV ~~
I stayed at home until classes resumed after Thanksgiving break, taking it easy and trying not to over-exert myself. I couldn't shake the guilty feeling I had about Dan's passing; everything about it made me feel sick and uneasy.
The doctors told me I couldn't drive for a little while, so I hadn't been able to see Sarah too much the rest of the break. I missed her so much, and she refused to let my parents to pick her up to visit. She offered to take a cab but I told her to save her money. The end result was us staying where we were until classes started up again.
~~ Sarah's POV ~~
When Liam finally came back to campus, I immediately went to see him. I threw my arms around his neck and pulled him into a kiss as soon as he opened his door.
"Wow, hi! It's good to see you too!" Liam smiled, as he welcomed me in. He kissed me again once he'd shut the door.
"How are you feeling, pumpkin?" I asked, gently taking the hand of his broken arm and kissing it.
He winced slightly, and I let go. He smiled, "Still sore and tender. Too bad you didn't come to see me once I got home. I'm almost positive if you tried, your kisses would have cured me. But it's too late, now- it'll probably never heal right."
"You better watch it, bub, or I'll make sure it doesn't heal right!" I tried to intimidate him, but he just started laughing, and I laughed along too. He pulled me into a hug and kissed the top of my head.
"I did miss you, you know. Really, and I'm so glad you're back," Liam said quietly.
"We're a couple of softies, huh? What are we going to do over Christmas break?" I asked.
"Die, probably," Liam made a face. "I definitely don't want to spend the whole month without you. I propose you stay here!"
I shook my head, "I couldn't do that to my family. And I miss 'em so much already."
We sat down on the couch and dropped the conversation. I snuggled right up to him and we watched most of 'Rebel Without a Cause," featuring the illustrious James Dean. When it finished, he turned the TV off and I laid my head against his chest as he played with my hair. It was therapeutic almost.
"You know," I broke the silence, "you could come visit me."
"I'm with you right now," Liam said.
"I mean during break. Stay with your family until right after Christmas, and then visit me." There was silence, however he kept running his fingers through my hair. "Or you could spend the first two weeks with your family and come stay with me for the rest of it, I know my family wouldn't mind."
Still silence from Liam.
"Forget it, it was a silly idea. Besides, I know how much your family means to you," I said after a minute or two. I'll admit I was a little disappointed but I had no right to be. "I'm just being selfish."
"Well," Liam said, finally. "Suppose I did come to visit you, is that something your parents would go for? Being your boyfriend and having me there wouldn't upset them?"
I tilted my head to look up at him, he was smiling. "My dad might give you a little bit of a hard time, but he's a good guy. And my brother may be rough around the edges, but really he's a sweetheart. My mom would love to have you, I'm sure of it. I don't think anyone would give you TOO much trouble," I winked.
“As long as you get their approval, babe, I’m all for it!” he kissed my forehead.
