I had just finished getting dressed when I heard a knock at the door. I opened it, smiling. But to my surprise, it wasn't Liam at all. Instead, a girl with short brown hair and large brown eyes stood in front of me; she was probably up to my chin, but couldn't have been much taller.

"Hi! Is... Devin here?" she sang. Her voice was strange and melodical, it was quite beautiful.

"Uh, yeah, she's here," I moved aside to let the girl in. She smiled at me, and walked down the little hallway that opened up to our little dorm. From behind me, I could hear Devin and Brian greet her- I thought I heard them say her name was Lo. Lo had to be short for something... Lola? Lilly?

"Duh, Sarah," I shook my head. "Lauren! The one she's spending Thanksgiving with." I turned around to close the door.

"Who's spending Thanksgiving with who?" Liam asked, seeming to magically appear in front of me. He smiled.

I returned the smile, "Hey! Oh, uhm Devin's spending Thanksgiving with her friend Lauren." He looked over my shoulder from the hall, and saw the small gathering in my room. "Ready to finish this script once and for all?"

"Definitely," he said, and I gestured for him to come in. He thanked me, and the door closed behind him.

Everyone else cleared out of the room; they were going out to rehearse for a scene they were doing in class. All three of them were musical theatre majors, Liam included. I asked him why he wasn't joining them, and he informed me that the reason he left earlier was so he could rehearse with his group. I invited him to make himself comfortable, which sometimes proved to be a challenge in our little suite. We had two rooms: one was our bedroom, that had both Devin and I's beds and dressers, and each of us had a closet- I hid a microwave and a mini-fridge in mine; the other room, we turned into a little sitting area with our desks, a small couch, and a table that we propped our TV up on.

I sat on my bed and pulled my laptop over, and he was sat on top of my dresser with his laptop propped up on the end of my bed. It was an unconvential position, but I wasn't about to argue. The two of us hammered out our five page treatment. We read through it again, and then for a third time- tweaking things, and rephrasing short descriptions. By the time, we had finished, it had grown dark outside again.

I looked at the clock to see what time it actually was, "6:30. Jeeze, it feels like it should be a lot later. It's getting way too dark, way too early. I really just hate winter." Liam laughed at this, "What's so funny about that?"

"If you hate winter, why did you decide to move out to Michigan? That doesn't seem too smart at all," he laughed. "It's shaped like a mitten, for crying out loud!"

I couldn't help laughing, "It can't be much worse than a winter in northern Vermont, or Maine. They might as well just be a part of Canada," I joked. I could hear my stomach grumbling when it got quiet. "Yikes, I guess I forgot to eat. Are you hungry?" I asked.

"Uhm, yeah a little bit," he admitted.

I decided instead of bundling up to walk outside, I was just going to make soup. Liam and I joked as we ate, and we really got to know each other. We talked about how we both got interested in film, and what our ultimate goal was going to be after graduating from college. I know it sounds lame, and cheesy, but it was really nice to just have someone who understood that my dream of seeing my name next to "Director of Photography" in the credits of a J.J. Abrams film was a pretty big deal; I think the fact that I was finally talking to someone who knew who J.J. Arbams was made me happy.

~~ Liam's POV ~~

I don't think I've ever met anyone quite like this, and I am so glad to have been paired with the girl who's dream was to work on a J.J. Abrams film. The world has a funny way of putting people into your life at the perfect moment, and most of the time we don't figure it out or understand the reason that these people are brought into our lives. I won't pretend to be a master of these things, but I do know that Sarah is definitely someone I could see myself being with.
