Commander Xander Smoke walked through the rubble and ruins of the Dark Moon Pack that they just invaded. In his right hand he carried the Alpha's head ripped from his dead body. He needed to show proof to the royal family that he had completed his task. Xander was the only commander among the grizzly bear shifters of the North. Above him was no one except the royal family. Working in the military type of things among the grizzlies was somewhat of a family job however no one handled work as well as he did. He was a man who preferred solitude and work. He was quiet with one hell of a temper.

He approached the vehicles and signaled one of the guys to bring a box to him. As he put the Alpha's head in the box a faint shout around the bend caught his attention. It sounded like someone was saying to 'run'? He changed his course and headed that direction. He walked up to a scene of Reg having a small sized girl in a choke hold and Casey about to full on punch her.

"What is going on here?" He boomed. It's true they had already killed a lot of women from this pack but they also needed to bring back some as prisoners. As soon as he spoke everyone turned towards him and bowed their heads ever so slightly. In the clan no one looked him directly in the eyes. To look a grizzly directly in his eyes was seen as a challenge. All heads were bowed but hers. The girl was small in size but was actually a full grown woman he discovered as he drew closer. She looked up and stared directly back at him through the long tresses of her snow white hair. She was wearing dirty clothes and was barefoot. There was dirt and tangles in her long waist length hair. A dark red mark of a hand was forming on her left cheek. When he got closer he could smell her and it wasn't pleasant in the slightest. It was as if she hadn't bathed in over a week. However he hardly paid attention those details though because it was her gaze that captivated him. Her eyes were a smokey gray mixed with swirls of light blue. Despite his intimidating stature she didn't flinch or cower in the slightest. She continued to stare him down without a hint of fear behind her eyes. He felt slightly amused by the situation as it had been a long long time since someone had so boldly stared him down.

Feisty one she is. She's what 5'5 and 150 pounds?

At 7 foot and 340 pounds Xander was extremely intimidating and he had to admit her boldness intrigued him.

"I asked a question." He spoke again feeling annoyance rise up as he hated repeating himself.

Alex stepped in and spoke up. He was a captain in the group. "Commander, this girl caused a scene that allowed 5 prisoners to escape into the forest. I ordered her to be killed in return."

She's got some guts to back up that stare of hers.

Xander's eyes didn't leave hers as he spoke. "Put her with the rest of the prisoners. Let's load up and go."

Alex started to disagree which caused him to start to lose his temper. "Did I stutter??!!" He shouted louder than he had originally intended.

The men flinched at his command and started to hustle to enact it. Before he walked away he took one last glance at this woman. Despite his momentary show of wrath her demeanor remained unchanged. -calm, cool, collected, and almost if she was studying the situation.

It was a long trip back up to The North. The North was a massive darkwood forest up in the unpopulated lands of Canada. The Grizzlies have lived there for centuries even before the Europeans came and tried to colonize the continent. The forest was basically untouched by "human's developed ways." Even the roads were simple dirt roads worn in by a hundred years of use and before cars they were used as footpaths. It would take a journey of 2 days of constant driving to reach their destination. The men would take turns driving and only stop twice to offer the prisoners a chance to use the bathroom. They would also hand out some bread and water to them to keep them alive.
