"Mira....Mira..."

A voice was calling to her but she struggled to shake off the effects of the drugs they had injected into her. Where am I?? What's.....what's going

"Mira-Jane!!!!"

Cahira's silky voice turned angry and loud. It filled her whole being and burned her brain. Mira jolted awake with a start and looked around frantically.

They were still in the same dark damp cell but something was very very different. The cell had no light but she could clearly see every crack and dust particle as if it were underneath the sun.

Mira was attacked with overwhelming sensory inputs from all her senses. Her brain was flooded with pictures of what her senses were putting together from all their info and she struggled to focus and process it. She could smell rotting bodies from exactly 14 other prisoners. Her ears pickup the footsteps of Grizzlies walking on the ground above her. She could see tiny droplets of condensation slowly dripping off the walls of her cell. Hell, she could even still taste the residue of blood from the Grizzle she bit some time ago.

Everything was clouded by how her body felt. On fire. Her muscles felt super charged while her joints and bones ached and burned with the feeling of being on fire. Mira struggled to remain calm and her chest heaved with deep breaths.

"Mira the Blood Moon is near. We are going to shift soon but we need to get out of here first." Cahira managed to get through the million thoughts racing through her mind.

"I hear you but how-" Suddenly the footsteps above her stopped. A distant but familiar roar could be heard and she felt a warmness spread in her chest. Everyone started running and her ears picked up a mixture of shouts and roars. "He is here....Xander found us. They found us. We need to get out."

Mira quickly looked around and grabbed the chains holding her arms up and outward. The sound of sizzling skin from her hands filled her ears as she firmly gripped the metal chains. She tried to pull her arms inward while she bent downward but found herself unable to. Only then she realized they had attached another chain to the ceiling above her to a metal collar around her neck. The chain was tight and didn't allow her to move at all.

"Damn...they don't play around do they...well neither do I."

She took in a deep slow breath to try and channel all her focus into one objective. As she exhaled she pulled the chains as hard as she could while doing a muffled scream.

The chains snapped with a loud pop and her arms fell at her sides giving instant relief. She immediately grabbed the leather face mask and ripped it off her face. She took a long slow breath of relief and freedom. "Never again...will I be chained like this." She muttered with determination and spite in her voice.

Mira then bowed her head and slipped her fingers in-between her neck and the metal collar. This task proved to be harder than the previous one as she could only use her fingers and not her hands.

She held her breath and pulled as hard as she could. Her arms trembled under the strain. The collar slowly started to contort and bend according to her will before the back bolts snapped under the pressure.

Before she could start on her legs, loud footsteps echoed in the hallway as they made their way closer. Mira put her fists up and made a defensive stance. The door flew open and Reg rushed into the cell.

"Well if this isn't nostalgic." He mused.  It had only been six short months since he first found her in the cells of her father's pack but it felt like it had been years since then. Instead of feeling alarm and confusion like their first meeting, relief flooded Mira's soul upon seeing a trustworthy friend.
