Hatch

"So any day now?! Any day now Rev?!," asked Ty excitedly one afternoon. Revvit chuckled as he ran around Ty's body,fixing up little things here and there.
"Yes,Ty.Any day now."
Waldo and Ace got curious."Any day for what?" asked Waldo.
"Yeah,what are you two up to?" asked Ace.
Click-Clack looked curious but hid inside a bowel of bolts saying,"You-you know maybe it's no good? Something s-scary I bet!"
Revvit chuckled,"When the time comes,you will know.For now please ignore us."
Ty giggled and could barely contain himself.
His and Revvit's eggs had made it through incubation and any day now they should hatch.

After Ty's afternoon tune up,he took a trux wash and headed right to his cave.Revvit rode on top of his head,also eager to get inside the cave and see if the eggs were hatching.
On the platform,Revvit listened carefully to the eggs,he could hear a lot of moving in one but the other was quiet.
Despite that the pair was excited and eager to see their children hatch.

"Revvit,come quick!!" Yelled Ty inside the cave.
Revvit was outside on his way back from getting a bite to eat.He ran back inside,up Ty and onto the platform."Is it happening?!" asked Revvit.
"Yes! I think so.Look!"
Revvit carefully examined the eggs.Watching them closely.
Suddenly the egg moved.
"Ty, it is happening!"
The two kept watching,Revvit sat next to the egg that moved and he could feel the baby moving around a lot.Revvit's bits spun excitedly and he continued to watch.

The egg moved and moved and moved,finally the sides of the eggs bent outwards.The air pressure increased inside the egg and the top opened up with a hiss.Ty gasped softly and didn't dare blink.Revvit was afraid to look in but he saw a little hand reach out to the top of the egg.He gasped softly to himself and kept his eyes on the hand.Soon the little hand worked to pull itself out of the egg and Revvit was quick to catch the baby tool. It's body resembled Revvit but it's colour was red.Revvit carefully cradled the child to his chest and examined it. "A boy but he is missing bits."
Ty looked at the tiny,tiny baby tool.He could see what Revvit was talking about.Along the babies backside he was indeed missing the parts that would hold extra bits.He only had two holders.The one on his head and one just behind it on his backside.The rest of his body was smooth and looked fairly normal for a baby tool.
Revvit held the little close to him and let the baby rest.
Another minute goes by and the little tool is fast asleep in Revvit's arms."Ty,we are parents now.He has successfully hatched."
The red t-trux was still in shock by it all.He couldn't believe it.This tiny,tiny tool was his first born child.He was a father.How?! No one can truly say but it didn't matter anymore.This child exists and it living proof of halfbreeds.
"Ty?" asked Revvit softly as he looked into the t-trux eyes."I'm sorry,Rev.I just--Well I--I just can't believe this is really happening.."
Revvit smiled and the little tool readjusted himself in Revvit's arms.Making the cutest squeak either of them had ever heard.
The yellow tool spun his bits and gently laid the baby on a pile of fresh leaves.He huddled around him and watched as he slept.
"A name,Rev.What should we name him?" The yellow tool looked at Ty with wide eyes,"I did not even think about that.What should we call him? Any suggestions?"
Ty looked around and said some names aloud,hoping one would stand out.
"Tyrone,
Tyson,
Tylor,
Tay?"
Revvit looked a a little annoyed by Ty and the red trux changed his suggestions,
"Drivvit,
Trivet---"

Revvit had had enough and he stopped Ty from talking with a simple look.
"Hud-nut...That will be his name.."
Ty watched as his little one snuggled closer to Revvit.
"Hud-nut..Alright-I like it.."
