Hud-Nut

"Hud-nut,what is wrong?"
asked Revvit to the little tool.
The red tool whined and curled into his tail,"It's nothing.."
Revvit sighed and planted himself next to Hud-nut,"Obviously it is something or you would not be so down.So tell me,what is wrong?" Both tools sat on the platform inside Ty's cave.Hud-nut whined again,sitting up and looking at his Dad."I can't fix the trux as fast as you can.By the time I find the right bit your already done."
Revvit placed a hand on his son's shoulder,"Hud-nut,I have been doing this for a long time now.You have only just started.Give yourself some time to learn and you will be just as fast as I am."
The red tool smiled but his eyes still looked sad,"I won't be as fast as you.I don't have the room for extra bits like you do."
The red tool laid down on his belly and groaned,"I'm no good here." Revvit spun his bits, angered by the fact his son was thinking this way but he calmed himself before saying,"Hud-Nut,do not think like that.You will find something you are best at.Like uncle Click-Clack! It took him some time but he found what he is best at." Hud-nut sat up again replying sarcastically,"Designing new trux washes?"
Revvit chuckled,"Well yes.He found out he really enjoyed making them.Finding new sources of water is fun for him and Skya."
Hud-nut groaned,"I miss,uncle Click-Clack.We haven't seen him in a while." The yellow tool hugged his son,"I know,we will see him again soon."

"Dad,I'm not so sad anymore."
Revvit smiled and hugged his son tighter."You can let go of me now," Hud-nut said with a strain.
Revvit quickly let go of Hud-nut,"Oh! I am sorry.Got carried away."
The red tool laughed and ran off.
Down the wall and headed out of the cave,the two tools made their way to the garage.
"Dad! Can we go see TonTon's race today?!" asked Hud-nut.Revvit nodded,"Yes,we will go see him.Papa is looking forward to racing today!"
Hud-nut squealed with glee.

Entering the garage the two tools ran up the many platforms along the walls.Hud-nut stood amongst the supplies while Revvit looked through a list he had made the night before.Revvit started naming off different screws,bolts and bits.As he called them out, Hud-nut grabbed them from the storage shelves and tossed them to a larger wooden bowel in the center of the garage.
With everything they needed gathered up,Revvit and Hud-nut met in the middle."Okay,we are scheduled to see two crainasaurs one ankylodump and three glufasaurs," Revvit said aloud as he looked over a list.
Hud-nut sighed and asked,"So after we fix them,we can go to the races?"
Revvit smiled and put his list away,"Yes,we can go then."
Hud-nut felt excited for the time to come.He waited anxiously for the first trux to arrive.

While fixing up a crainasaurs tongue pulley,Ty arrived back at the garage.
Hud-nut yelled aloud,"Papa! Papa! Dad,said you're going to race TonTon today!"
Ty chuckled as he watched his son climb up his tread and plant himself on his muzzle,"Yeah,I'm gonna race TonTon! You're excited to watch, Hud-nut?!"
The little tool squealed,"I can NOT wait!"
The male crainasaur in the background chuckled softly and looked at Revvit,"Yours?"
Revvit spun his bits and nodded,"Yes,he is nearly one."
The crainasaur chuckled again,"I love it when they're that age.My daughter just hatched her first clutch.Our whole heard is going to welcome them."
Revvit smiled,"Aw,that is great.Congradulations."
The older crainasaur let show a big smile,"Thank you."
Ty looked at Revvit and greeted him with a smile.The reptool smiled back but looked away and got back to work.

With Ty keeping Hud-nut occupied outside the garage on their small track,Revvit finished up the trux in need of repair in the crater.
Soon enough,Revvit walked out to find his mate and child.
He watched from a larger rock on the side of the racing track.
One lap,two laps,three laps go by and Hud-nut spotted his dad sitting there."Papa,Dad is over there!" Ty chuckled and slowed down along the track and slowly rolled up the Revvit.
The yellow tool was high enough for Ty to give him a proper greeting.
Revvit smiled as Ty came closer to him."Nice to see you.How was your ore run?" the reptool asked.
Ty chuckled softly and slowly lowered his nose to Revvit.
The yellow tool leaned in and tapped his face against Ty's muzzle.The red t-trux let out a low bellow,his engine almost purring.Revvit tapped Ty's chin with his tongue and he sighed softly.Ty kept his engine purring and finally answered his mate,"It went by quick.Filled the station up for another month."
Revvit climbed up Ty's face and to the top of his head."That is wonderful.Now Hud-nut has been asking about the races all day.Are you ready,Ty?"
The red t-trux roared his engine,"Ready as I'll ever be!"
Revvit chuckled and Hud-nut shouted out,"Then let's go!! Hurry,Papa,I don't want all the popping ore to be gone!"
Ty and Revvit chuckled and they rolled off towards the race track.
