Telling him

A month has gone by and the trux have been acting as normal as ever,except for Revvit.Every week that passed he'd pay a trip to the ravine and spend one night there before coming back to the garage.The trux didn't question it,as it became a new normal.The other tools however were getting more and more curious.Ace being the first one to spread a rumor."Maybe he's met someone." Word quickly spread around the garage and for the next month,the trux all believed Revvit had found a mate.

One night in Ty's cave,he waited for Revvit to come inside to sleep for the night.As the tool relaxed atop his head he finally asked,"Revvit,have you met someone? A mate?"
The reptool was taken by surprise,"Ty,where on earth did you hear that? No I have not found a mate."
Ty sighed and tried to reassure his friend,"Revvit,you can tell me.I want to be here for you.The same way you are for me."
Revvit felt guilt suddenly.
Guilt for not telling Ty.
Guilt for not telling anyone.
Guilt for everything.
The tool sighed and brought his voice to a much softer but more serious tone,"Ty,I have a secret.One that I have not shared with anyone.I do not want any one to know about it yet.It is not a mate.It is about-"
Revvit cut himself off and groaned,trying to hug the t-trux beneath him.He was suddenly very afraid of how Ty would react if he knew the truth.
Ty could sense something was very wrong and he spoke up softly,"Revvit,it's okay.You can tell me anything."
Desperate for someone to talk to,Revvit decided to tell Ty.

"Ty,this last breeding season.You told me how you needed a release." The red truck got embarrassed again,annoyed by this topic.However annoyed he may be he could hear the emotions in Revvit's voice.He was scared,stressed,anxious,you name it.It was concerning and down right scary for those emotions to come from Revvit.
So Ty didn't stop Revvit this time.He decided to listen.
"Yeah,I remember,what's this about,Rev?" The reptool got quiet for a moment,almost wanting to forget this and not tell him but his mouth spoke out words before he could really make a final decision."I walked through it.Not knowing what it was.Long story short,I have laid fertilized eggs."

It took a moment for Ty to actually understand and Revvit's heart raced with every second Ty was quiet.The t-trux lowered his head and gestured for Revvit to get on small rock cliff just on the wall of his cave.Ty wanted to look this tool in the eye as he asked,"Revvit,are you serious right now?"
The tool hunched over and but eventually met eyes with the trux,"Yes,Ty.I am.Somehow your revised oil was able to fertilize my eggs.I do not know how it happened or why it is even possible to begin the with.It is very strange and I do not know what to do and--"
Ty stopped Revvit from talking,"Rev,stop.Calm down,how far long are they?"
Revvit sat down and tried to relax.His mind going from what are we going to do to thinking about the babies progress."Well,they are a month along,growing well I might say."

Now Ty could feel his heart racing,"This is unbelievable.Rev,you gotta understand that I'm having trouble believing all this."
The reptool sighed and hung his head,"Yes,I understand that.I do not blame you for hating me now."
Ty looked at his friend in surprise,"Rev,I don't hate you.This is just alot to take in.I-I don't know what to say."
Revvit laid down and groaned,"I have been thinking about this for a month now.I have no knowledge of halfbreeds or if they will even survive long enough to hatch.Every week I go to the ravine to check on them, monitor their progress."
Ty asked abruptly,"They're at the ravine?"
Revvit spun his bits and nodded,"Yes,they are safe in my old home-But--"
Ty interrupted him,"I want them here!" Revvit was really surprised,"Ty,I can not move them.It would risk their shells cracking and right now the cave they are in is the perfect temperature for incubation.It is significantly cooler this side of the flatirons."
Ty sighed,"But your telling me I'm the father,if these eggs do survive I want to be there.Wait!! How many are there?!"
Revvit stepped back and was completely in shock.Ty is not acting at all how Revvit expected.Instead Ty is inquisitive and wants to be apart of what's going to happen next."Uhm,uh-four...There is four.." Ty scooted back and groaned,"Aw,I want to see them.Are they small?"
Revvit couldn't help it,he laughed and replied,"Y-Yes,Ty.They are small.I laid them."

The tools body completely relaxed now.He wasn't anxious or scared in fact he was happy and actually surprised of how Ty was reacting.The red t-trux could barely contain himself,"No,Rev,we can make a suitable place right here and keep watch over them.You won't have to leave anymore,we can watch them right here."
Revvit spun his bits,"I suppose it is possible but transferring them from the ravine remains to high of a risk for such precious cargo.Perhaps the other trux-"
Ty growled to himself,thinking out loud."No,no.We can make it work.Just you and me,we don't have to tell anyone else about it.". Revvit argued with the trux,"You want to transfer them without the help of the other trux?! That's putting them more at risk!" The t-trux instincts were kicking in,Ty was suddenly becoming highly protective.
The look in his eye actually scared the yellow reptool for a moment.
He tucked his tail against his body,"Okay,Ty,I will see what I can do.Do you trust me?"
Ty calmed down as he looked at Revvit,realizing just how much he did trust this tool."Yes,I do.."
