Chapter Sixteen
Unfinished Business

❝Do I look sickly to you?❞

-WILLIAM'S POV-

IT HAS BEEN ALMOST A year now and Y/N was still unconscious. I went to different doctors and they all said the same, unknown. The doctors told me that she is literally fine and there's no medicinal issue in her body.

This made me more worried than before.

What was worse was the news that the other restaurant Henry built got shut down due to a security guard named Jeremy Fitzgerald getting bitten by none other than Mangle in his last day in the night shift. I was very frustrated to know that my last chance to get the remnant was now blown. However, I heard that Henry had been fixing the old animatronics from Fredbear's Family Diner.

I need to destroy those animatronics, their endoskeletons are filled with remnant from the remains of the dead kids. Thus, I can save the effort of killing more children and risk my safety. This was the option left for me to do in order to achieve what I really desired for years.

Immortality.

It was what I have been working on and I don't want such an opportunity to go waste. I'm planning on sneaking into the pizzeria in the night to destroy the animatronics and in order to do this, I will need help... from someone.

"What? No way I'm going! Also uncle Henry hates our family to hire me in the first place."

"Michael, you will be of a big help. Don't forget that those animatronics are dangerous."

I was trying to reason with Michael for hours now and he still doesn't want to change his mind. Apparently, I need to pull the harsh trigger, "Son, those mascots are as dangerous as Fredbear. Do you remember what happened back in 83? I can't let them be re-used again." I stated while faking a painful expression. Michael looked down in sadness without saying anything, clenching his fists tightly.

I put my hand on his shoulder, "It pains me more than you, Michael. We have to do this in order to avoid the same problem. Henry doesn't know how much you changed, so he won't recognize you unlike me." Michael seemed to think of what I told him. He eventually sighed and nodded much to my satisfaction, my plan is working.

"Alright father, what's your plan?"

"Good decision, son. Now, you will start working there under the name of Mike Schmidt. Try your best to figure the layout of the building in order for me to get in unnoticed."

He nodded again and I smiled in happiness, knowing that Michael had fell into my trap.

-TIME SKIP-

Five days had passed since Michael had applied for the job. Apparently, Henry was dumb enough to hire him as a night guard and this was what I wanted.

He managed to explain the layout of the pizzeria to me and it wasn't that hard to understand. Michael told me that there's a secret room called the Safe Room, the animatronic cannot enter since it wasn't implanted in their systems. My plan now is more simple...

I will lure them to the safe room and destroy them there. Simple as that.

However, my idiot of a son had tampered with the animatronics and Henry fired him. That's not the main focus right now, I need to go to the pizzeria tonight. It's now or never.

I went first to check on Y/N in hopes to find her awake, but to my dismay, she was still sleeping. I sat beside beside on the bed and stroked her hair, "I hope to see you awake when I return home, my sweet angel. Your papa is going to do everything to keep you safe." I thought, planting a small kiss on her forehead.

Eventually, I left her room and went to the front door to leave. It was night time, but still early for the night shift to start. I decided to do it tonight since Henry still hasn't found a night gaurd. I went there on my feet so I wouldn't grab any attention. Once I reached there, I went to the back door where Michael left me a copy of the key. I entered and quickly put my plan in action.

Little by little, I started to lure the animatronics to the safe room, starting with Freddy and ending it with Foxy. It was easier than I thought it would be. Now all I need to do is to collect the remains and leave quickly. As I was about to start, five white ghostly figures appeared right before me. Fear overwhelmed me as I subconsciously took a step back, "Wh-What? That can't be possible!" I thought, feeling sweat rolling down my forehead.

-AUTHOR'S POV-

Without even waiting, William sprinted away from the ghosts to the safe room. He entered there and the kids followed him, blocking the exit. One certain child started to chase William in the room, "I need to hide!" He tried to look around while running away from the kid. Just then, his silver blue eyes landed on a Springlock Bonnie suit, "I can hide there!" Without any hesitation, William ran to the suit and put it on.

This seemed to work as the children stopped moving and just looked at him. William couldn't help but laugh at their stupidity, "Such fool kids! You will never get m-..." He couldn't finish his sentence as he heard something click. Suddenly, all hell break loose.

The suit malfunctioned and springlocks started to return to their place, closing on William. He let out a loud scream as the metal pierced through his flesh, making blood ooze out and pool underneath him.

"Help me! Ugh! Stop it, please!" He called while falling back, helplessly reaching his arm out to the ghosts. The children looked at each other before they all disappeared, leaving William to suffer the agony of his making. At the end, his screams died down as his consciousness started to slowly fade to nothingness. One last thought crossed William's mind before he completely going into a deep slumber that he won't wake up from.

"I'm sorry, Y/N... I couldn't help you, my little princess."
