Chapter Twenty-Three
Guilt and Help

═════ ✥.❖.✥ ═════

❝I can do anything now.❞

YOUR EYES WERE WILD LIKE plates when you saw the man before you. His face was unreadable, so you couldn't know if he was actually upset about that day or not. You were frozen in place as you thought you might be in trouble.

You quickly shook your head to snap out of your shock, "Uncle Henry? Wh-What are you doing h-here?" You questioned, mentally facepalming at the stutter. The man sighed as his expressions became rather a bit saddened, "I came to talk to you..." He replied and kept his gaze on the ground. You nodded and moved aside, "Of course, please come in." You invited him inside and he walked in, making his way to the livingroom. You closed the door and followed after Henry, memories of your last encounter rang in your head.

-FLASHBACK-

You managed to get an appointment set to meet Henry after 30 minutes. Oddly, all of the nervousness and anxiety left your body as you set your mind to get your sister and mother out of that place. You were confident you will get the restaurant, you had to get it.

The minutes passed quickly and it was finally time to meet your dad's ex-bestfriend. You walked toward the door and knocked three times, waiting patiently for a reply. A faint 'Come in' could be heard from the other side and this was your signal to walk in. The office wasn't that fancy, just a normal working place. You approached the desk, your eyes glued to the old man before you. You took in a small breath before speaking up, "Good afternoon, Mr. Emily." The man looked up at you, he looked really tired and so... down. You couldn't blame him, your father had killed his daughter and your bestfriend.

Henry nodded his head and held his hand to the seat, "Good afternoon, please take a seat." He spoke up and you sat down. You two talked about the business and how you wanted to buy the restaurant. At first, Henry showed interest that someone came to purchase that place after all of the accidents that happened there. However, he started to be more suspecting, "I understand that you want to own the pizzeria for business purposes, but why are you so interested in owning this specific place?" He asked with a serious look, you could feel his gaze staring directly at your soul. His gaze was a bit intensifying yet you tried to keep your cool.

"Well, the animatronics ar-..."

"You want to investigate your sister's disappearance, right? Y/N."

You froze upon hearing your name being called. You were speechless and didn't find any words to reply, it was clear that your disguise had been exposed. Your plan was going to fail. Henry let out a sigh as his face softened, "I know those eyes very well, they're similar to your father's. I understand your intention, Y/N. I don't know what became of you, but I won't question it right now." After he said that, he pulled out a file and handed it to you.

"Very well, the place will be yours. You just need to sign a contract of ownership."

-END OF FLASHBACK-

You and Henry sat quietly in the livingroom, none of you said a word and the tension was so heavy. You fiddled with your fingers, keeping your gaze down. You had to say something, anything. You couldn't bear the silence.

You took in a deep breath and gathered all your courage to look up at him, "I'm sorry, uncle Henry." You spoke up, breaking the silence between you. The said man looked at you with clear confusion, "Why are you apologizing?" He asked, leaning slightly forward. You bit your lip and tightly clenched your fists, "I fooled you to get the pizzeria and pretended to be someone else, but I was scared you may not want to talk to me after what papa has done to you." You explained, feeling tears slowly filling your eyes.

Henry shook his head and moved closer to you, "Y/N, I know you have good intentions. You just wanted to look for your family. You're just like my daughter and it's my duty to protect and help you. You're nothing like your father or anyone in your family, you were born unique and will always be unique." He assured as he gave you a head pat. His words touched deep in your heart, you can tell he meant every singel word because he sounded so genuine. You looked up to see him smile softly at you, "Thank you so much." You said in gratitude, giving the old man a hug and he didn't hesitate to hug back.

After that wholesome moment, Henry went to tell you something important, "Y/N, I came here to tell you that I know where your father could be." He stated firmly as you looked at him with surprise,  "Really? Where could he be? Is he alright?" Upon hearing the second question, Henry frowned deeply.

"No Y/N, William was actually caught in a springlock failure. He... died due to the springlocks. I saw him and just left him there, blocking the safe room he died in... I'm sorry, Y/N. But I was very angry that I wanted to get my revenge for Charlie's death."

You couldn't blame him or be upset, he was right after all. What your dad did was unforgivable and this was the least punishment he could receive. You nodded your head and wiped your tears, "It's okay, I understand. But whare could papa be?"
