Outlaws Assemble!

Summary: Outlaws reunite in a video conference, where one member has an idea that another is not so happy to hear about

Jason's P.O.V
"Jaybird you made it! Now I can call this meeting officially the first of the Outlaws Assemble!" Roy happily exclaimed as I rolled my eyes at his happy attitude. You won't hear this out lout from me, but I kinda actually missed him and Kori. Of course, if I tell this to Roy, he'll make a whole scene and never let me live it down

"I told you he wouldn't be able to resist seeing us again Kori" he continued saying as I turn to the other screen on my laptop. On it was Kori, her ship being seen in the background. Huh, never knew she had an internet plan... or even a laptop to be honest

"It is good to see you both. I hope you have been doing well. This whole lockdown is such a waste of time. On my planet, nothing like this would have happened"

"You mean your planet never had a virus happen before! These sorts of things usually happen because of aliens in the movies, not that all aliens are evil or anything! I mean it could also happen because of stupid scientists doing something they weren't supposed to either and-"

I cut in before they could start a conversation or before Roy starts mentioning movies like Resident Evil as an example of what is currently going on. That reminds me, I'll make sure to make the others watch Resident Evil in the next mandatory movie night "Why exactly did you set this whole thing up Roy? We can't do any sort of Outlaws business"

"Dude, we got zeta tubes for a reason" Roy points out as I looked at him with confusion. Did he seriously not know?

"You do realize the League shut those down for the time being. Haven't you noticed that there haven't been any team ups since this whole pandemic happened" I tell him as his eyes widened and I had to resist the urge to smirk at this "Don't tell me the great Roy Harper isn't in the need-to-know circle"

Roy glared at me for mocking him "Harsh Jaybird. And no, you know both Arrow and I have our problems going on"

"If that is the case, why exactly are you living with him again? If you did not make up as you earthlings say, what caused you to move back in" Kori pointed out as Roy was seen turning red

"He said and I quote 'You're living in this dump! No-No way, you're coming back with me until this pandemic is over and I'll tranquilize you and drag you back if I need to.' Of course, I didn't want to go willingly and suddenly found myself hit with a tranquilizing drat. When I woke up, let's say things got bad pretty quick. I should just be thankful he didn't throw away anything from my room or even take away my room"

"Are both your mentors that bad that you hate them so much?" Kori questioned as she saw the two look at her with the same expression on their face "They both took you in when you had nowhere else to go after all. Is this not a good chance to reconnect and forgive one another'

"Let's not forget you and your sister's complicated relationship Kori. She did sell you over after all" I pointed out as she pauses for a moment before seemingly understand our viewpoints in a way since what happened to us isn't the same as what happened to her

"Anyway, my reason for this whole meet up video conference was for the Outlaws to assemble and perhaps go global online! I saw you become a hit because of your brother's account! Imagine if we decided to go live and show the world how we Outlaws roll"

"I have no desire to become another online hit. I'm literally the laughingstock at Arkham if the few comments from them are any indication" I tell him in a monotone as I show said comments to them

"I didn't even know they were allowed to have electronics with them... or that they even had social media" Roy commented as he read a few of the comments. I swear I saw him want to laugh when he read a couple of them as I throw my phone back onto my bed

"Ya it was a shock to me when I saw the various pictures Joker had"

"What Roy says is not a bad idea Jason. It would be quite amusing and be something to do. There is only so much more I can take before snapping. The videos you and your siblings have done were quite the entertainment" Kori agrees as Roy lights up at someone agreeing with him

"You both are going to make this happen one way or another aren't you" I said, knowing the answer before Roy could even speak it

"I don't think I need to answer that Jaybird! You'll see, this will be worth it in the end"

Not gonna ask how it will, at this point just resigning my fate to this "I mean even if you disagreed with me, I would've just found some blackmail or something to use against you Jaybird. Tim was pretty happy to let me have some material"

'I'm going to kill Tim next time I see him' I think to myself, wondering if one of baby bird's friends would be willing to give me something on their leader

"Oh, it appears my lunch has arrived. It is a good thing delivery still works. There is only so much more I can take of eating burnt cooking. It was nice to see you both!" says Kori as her screen disappears

It was quiet for a moment that I thought Roy left before I heard him "Did she seriously just leave us for lunch?"

"Sucks to be us buddy. We've been replaced. I'll make sure to send you a postcard myself" I tell him as I shut down the video call, before he can respond

One thought appeared in my mind after the video call was over; just what did I get myself into?

Author's note: Ya I updated and am not dead on this story! I was originally gonna do the grocery request one, but this suddenly came into my mind and I just wanted to introduce the Outlaws into the story. As you can see, it's the New 52 version of the Outlaws and poor Jason is being roped into another of Roy's crazy ideas. Next chapter for use is the request one! Till next time!
