You have made a mistake. When you said 'shall we get going' you meant wrap up with Mondstadt by saying goodbye to the knights and Diluc. You owed Diluc an explanation after all, but noooo, you literally headed straight to Liyue. Stupid Paimon.

But when you finally made it to the tree inn you were told by Ver Gold that there was a bird waiting for you on the balcony. So that took you to now, while Aether was making food for the three of you, you were in your room writing letters to people back in Mondstadt. Your tail keeps flicking as the feeling of being watched makes your ears and hairs on the back of your neck stand up. The only thing that kept you from turning around and cussing whoever was watching you out was that you had a strong feeling that it was Xiao. And you were not in the mood to cuss out an adeptis.

While you finished writing a letter to Albedo explaining while you'd be missing his next check up on your ears you look up to the bird who was perched on a stand nearby. "So Venessa, what's it like being an immortal bird?" You asked, slightly bored as you add Albedo's letter to the growing plie before moving onto Klee's.

The eagle makes a squawk of some type as she ruffles her feather, clicking her beak as you move the pen across the page. Thank goodness you had a pen from your world or you would have had to write with a feather (you know it's called a quill but you were salty they hadn't invited pens here yet so you were calling it a feather).

"I saw some theories that you were actually Diluc's bird. I hope I haven't stolen you from him." You say and you swear the bird huffs, or puffs up her feathers to look like she was huffing. "Alright, you don't belong to no man I get it." You laugh at the bird's "sass".

Just as you finished the last letter (who was for Noelle) the sound of footsteps drew your attention to the door. You stand up to open the door, so whoever was there didn't have to knock but the lock clicks and Aether walks in. You blink. This man somehow unlocked the door with three plates of food in his hands. You were impressed.

"Oh you're done." The smell of Aether's cooking hit's your nose and you practically float across the floor with grabby hands. "Your cooking is heavenly Aether. If you keep cooking me meals I might fall in love with you."

Aether turns his head, flustered at your comment before walking over to one of the beds in the middle of the room. "I assumed you didn't want to eat downstairs, so I bought a tray for each of us."

"Did you bring a tray for Paimon?" The voice of Paimon comes from beside Aether as she appears in constellations. Aether sighs with a small smile at his companions annatics.

"I thought you would share with me." He explains as you finish folding the separate letters and putting them in a case on Venessa's back. She chirps before flying out the window. How did she even know the addresses? You shake your head and move towards your bed, placing the tray on your lap and you feel your mouth water at the sight of the food, hell you almost melted at the taste of it.

Aether laughs at your reaction as he eats his own food. "Surely it's not that good?"

"No it is, this is worth at least a hundred out of five stars." You say once you had finished chewing. "Your cooking is god tier!"

"Paimon agrees, restaurant food is great but nothing beats Aether's cooking." Paimon pipes up and Aether tries to hide himself in his food from embarrassment. You just smile with an agreeing nod.

"So [Y/n], I've been meaning to ask, what's your world like? You don't have to answer if you don't want to." Aether clarifies as he slowly begins to dig into his own food, Piamon agrees with him, moving slightly closer to you to show her interest.
