Shay lay in bed waiting for her alarm clock to go off. Unfortunately she had woken up half a hour before it was set to go off and she hadn't been able to get back to sleep or snooze but she refused to get up early so she just lay there thinking about Eddie. She smiled to herself as she played the night before over and over in her head. After all these years of crushing on her best friend he had finally let her know she wasn't the only one feeling it.

She didn't want to admit it but she was also a little bit scared by it. Scared because it could easily go wrong and their friendship could be ruined. Scared because he could change his mind at any time and break her heart. Scared because she had never fully let anyone in before, not even Eddie, and she was worried he wouldn't like what he saw.

Her thoughts were suddenly cut off by her alarm clock and she let out a sigh of relief as she got up, pushing the bad thoughts to the back of her mind. Instead of putting on her usual amount of make up she settled for a bit of concealer and mascara, knowing Eddie had always prefered her natural look. She fluffed up her hair a little and added some hairspray that Steve had given her when they first became friends. Then she went to her closet to pick out the tight black jeans she knew he liked and her favourite metallica shirt which she then covered with a black and white flannel.

As she was doing up the laces on her boots she heard a car horn go off and grinned, knowing it was Eddie. She grabbed a poptart from the kitchen, grabbed her bag and left the house. Eddie, like always, got out of the car and made his way round to the passenger side to open the door for her.

Shay frowned as she got closer, taking in his appearance and noticing he looked more pale than he had yesterday. She quickly closed the gap between them and took his face in her hands. "Are you okay, Eds?"

"Get in the van first and then we'll talk." He murmered, brushing her hands away and gesturing for her to hop in.

She frowned and tried to ignore the hurt she felt. Shay did as he said and watched as he shut the door behind her and stumbled back round to the drivers side. As soon as he was settled in she turned to him with a worried expression on her face.

"Was Chrissy at the party friday night?" He asked, staring blankly ahead as he started the van and pulled away from her house.

"Chrissy? Why?"

"Just tell me. I need to know!" He replied a little too harshly, causing Shay to flinch a little. "Sorry, sweetheart. Please just answer the question."

"Yeah, I think I saw her a few times. She was dressed as a slutty cat. Now tell me why you want to know!" Shay said, starting to become impatient.

"I think she drugged me."

Her eyes widened as the words came out of his mouth. "You think she spiked the punch?"

"I don't know about that but I think she drugged me yesterday somehow."

Eddie reached inbetween them and pulled out a water bottle, unscrewing it with one hand and taking small sips at a time. He definitely looked as bad as he had the morning after the party. What Shay couldn't wrap her head around was the fact he had said about yesterday.

"What do you mean yesterday? Did you see Chrissy before I came over?" The pain in her chest got a little worse, making it harder for her to ignore.

Eddie turned to her briefly with a confused look on his face before he turned the wheel sharply and pulled over to the side of the road. They were early for once so they still had plenty of time before they needed to be at school. "You came over? Fuck! She must have drugged me! All I remember is her showing up on my doorstep around 2 wanting to buy some more product off of me. So I let her in while I went to get it and then all I remember is that there was another knock at the foor about an hour later after she left. After that I have no idea what I did. I just woke feeling like I did on saturday."
