A couple of weeks had passed since the group had met up to eat pizza and plot revenge. Even though they still had a couple weeks left of November the Christmas period had started and Shay, Robin and Steve had been working a lot, preparing all the christmas stock and new arrivals. The five of them hadn't had much of a chance to hang out all together. While the trio were working at Family Video Eddie and Lydia had applied for a job at the music store and thankfully they had both gotten the job.
Shay lay in bed with Eddie lightly snoring next to her, one arm slung over her waist. Keith had finally hired Christmas temps so the trio actually had a weekend off together and it was a nice coincidence that the other two had it off as well. They had decided to spend the whole weekend round Steves since he had a pool table and a jacuzzi. It was also the biggest house so it just made sense.
Their revenge plan was currently on hold but she and Eddie still kept an act up at school. They didn't act off with each other at school anymore but they made sure it didn't look like they were dating. They still needed Chrissy to think she had succeeded. Although it was becoming more and more difficult for Shay to control her urge to break the cheerleaders nose.
"What's going on in that pretty head of yours, sweetheart?" Eddie mumbled sleepily. Shay hadn't noticer him stirring and she jumped a little.
"Nothing really. Just trying to wake my brain up. Did you sleep okay?" She asked, looking over and chuckling when she noticed Eddie had quickly fallen back to sleep.
Shay got out of bed as slowly and quietly as she could so as not to wake him again. She made her way to the bathroom and had a quick shower before throwing some clothes on and heading downstairs. It was rare for her to be awake early on a saturday but she was going to make the most of it by making breakfast for her and Eddie. Normally they hastily had a slice or two of toast before rushing out the door.
She turned the radio on at a decent volume, so as not to wake her boyfriend, and started to cook. She danced as she grabbed egg, bacon and sausages out of the fridge and started cooking. She was so caught up in the music she didn't hear Eddie.
Eddie smiled to himself as he watched Shay from the hallway. He wasn't sure how she hadn't noticed him yet but he was glad she hadn't. He had always loved watching Shay dance and enjoy herself while she was doing a task. Eddie could always tell that any stress she'd been carrying had left her body and that she was just able to enjoy herself. Letting the music take her mind away for a little while and letting her be care free.
He waited until she had turned away to make coffee and swiftly snuck up behind her, enjoying the little yelp that came out of her mouth as he wrapped his arms around her waist.
"Eddie! You prick!"
"Good morning to you too, sweetheart! What's the occassion for such a nice breakfast?" Eddie asked, pressing a light kiss to her shoulder before going and sitting at the kitchen table.
"No occassion! I was just up earlier than normal and wanted to do something nice for you." Shay said, smiling at her boyfriend as she set a coffee down in front of him and went to dish up the food.
The couple sat in a comfortable silence as they ate, although they still pulled funny faces at each other and shared loving looks. As soon as they were done Eddie was on his feet, clearing away the dishes and washing everything up. Shay perched on the counter next to him.
"I was meant to call Lyd last night but I was so tired I forgot. Did she tell you anything at work?" Shay asked.
"Well none of us finished til 10 last night so I doubt she minded. She did tell me she had an update on Chrissy and that she would tell us today." Eddie replied, playfully flicking water at her. "She looked pretty pleased with herself!"
