"What?!" I asked.
"I had no idea he would be here, I'm really sorry honey."
"Well what do I do?" I whispered. "I cannot handle this right now! I'm supposed to be the Maid of Honor and handling this party! Can you ask him to leave or something?"
"I guess I can try...he hasn't seen me yet, maybe I'll just leave? I don't want to make this night messy at all." Mum said.
"Are you sure?" I asked.
"Of course, Vice. I'll take a few appetizers and get out of here. Please tell Sinthia and Fred I am so excited for their wedding."
"Wait, what if he's there too?"
"Maybe I shouldn't come to the wedding either."
"No, you have to! Look, just come to the wedding and don't tell me who he is! Tell him you're here for Sin and Fred and you guys can talk when the wedding is officially over."
Mum nodded. "I think I can do that."
"I love you, Mum." I smiled as I hugged her.
"I love you too, honey. Just know, even if he doesn't want you, you are worthy and more loved than you could ever imagine."
"Thanks. I think I actually needed to hear that."
"See you later, honey." Mum hurried off.
"Where's Rue going?" George asked.
"She's leaving."
"What's going on?"
I decided I would tell him when we got home. Now wasn't about me and my odd family issues.
"She doesn't feel well. She wants to rest up for the wedding." I stated before kissing him. "I missed you. Where have you been?"
"Me? You've been running around like your head is cut off or something."
"Sorry, but a Maid of Honor's work isn't done until the wedding is over. I actually take my responsibilities seriously."
"I sure don't." George grinned. "Fred's got it. I mean he gets up there, says the vows, they kiss and it's done. How hard can it be?"
"We'll see the day of the wedding I guess." I laughed.
"There you are, Vice." Annie walked up to me. "Um...is Rick here?"
"He was supposed to be. Maybe he didn't feel fully comfortable coming or something."
"Yeah, that's all my fault."
"It's okay Annie. It's not like he has to be here for the wedding to happen." I assured her.
"I kind of like that he's not here," George admitted. "Don't need him hogging all of your time."
"Oh be quiet you jealous man." I giggled. I checked the time. "Ooh, it's time for dinner.""Go do what you gotta do, love," George kissed me. "You're amazing."
"I love you." I whispered.
"I love you more."
I waved my wand and the tables and chairs moved to set up for dinner. "Everyone, dinner is about to be served! Please find your place cards and take your seat!"
Everyone moved around to find their seats. I scanned the crowd. Which one of these men was my father, and how on earth was he here? Maybe he was friends with the Weasley's and didn't even realize I was a part of this wedding. Or maybe a friend of the Watson's.
