Cheers To the Freakin Weekend

Sera had never held onto a serious relationship for this long, well that wasn't entirely true she was almost married at one point. That in itself was enough to bid her from ever wanting to be in love, and sure she was cynical about love. But she was mostly scared of being hurt like that again. When someone you love leaves you at the altar. Well that is completely and utterly shitty, but when you find out that they were in love with your so-called best friend the entire time and now they are married. Well that is just a stab in the heart. A whirlwind of frustrations and asked questions and sadness.
And you have to mend yourself, fix your broken heart. Try your hardest to heal from it. To make it seem like life wasnt that hard, but it was. She was sad, she had opened up and let her walls down only to have her heart completely destroyed. And maybe just maybe that in its self makes her a bit weary. You too would be weary of love if your heart was shattered into a million pieces.
Which is why she was taking things slow with Steve, they were sitting in his car eating food. She didn't mind it, she wasn't too picky, Steve said he was taking her somewhere fancy and she was slightly confused because this place is not at all fancy.
"Is something on your mind?"
" Okay, remember when you said we'd go somewhere fancy?"
Steve nods. "Yeah. Mm-hmm."
" Well... was this the fancy place that you had in mind?"
" Yeah. Why"
" No reason. No, it's great. It's great. It's great. I just wanted to make sure. Just... Yeah."
" Well, obviously you had some other place in mind?" He licks his fingers clean missing an entire smudge of sauce on the side of his face, which causes her to roll her eyes.
"Honestly I didn't think fancy would be us eating breakfast out of a box in a parking lot." She grabs a few napkins from the glove box,
" Well, I think you're missing the bigger picture here."
