Endgame

Adam got badly injured during their honeymoon and now he was doing rehab. He had to give Gabriel Waincroff the money he was going to use to pay off the Yakuza to get him and Kono free. Jane was back from her small job on the mainland. Which meant she was back with the task force and back with flirting with Danny who didn't mind, Jane was gorgeous and Single two things he liked in a woman. Steve was going to propose to Sera, he had realized, how much they were meant for each other. How his life didn't seem to have any purpose without her. That and she was Sera freaking Daine. She was the coolest, craziest, headstrong, amazonian warrior princess. He had ever met.
Currently, the group was at a crime scene. It was pretty simple they go an anonymous call and comes to 911 with a bomb threat. The call came from a pay phone, not even two blocks from where the threat took place. The guy was using one of those voice scramblers. So he tells dispatch there's a bomb in a briefcase in the lobby of the Monroe building. Turns out that was just a decoy, 'cause there was a secondary device in the trunk of this car here, right at the edge of the frozen zone. Whoever did this was deliberately targeting first responders. It also means that he was familiar with HPD evacuation and frozen zone protocol Okay, whoever did this had to have been watching to know when to detonate the device. So the task force needed to canvass every story on every building that had an eye line to this scene, including all the rooftops. Of course, the ball was rolling with that and the bomb squad swept the entire perimeter with dogs before HPD set up the command post. But it turns out that It's a petroleum-based IED. Which meant that the dogs would have missed this easily in a car. The real question everyone was asking was whether this was a happy accident or a well-thought-out plan. And why was this happening, who was going to take the credit?
An hour later there was another briefcase planned at a local news station Hawaii Now, the partner trio immediately heads over. Watching the bomb squad attempt to grab the briefcase. Only for them to shoot it the robot explodes the briefcase to bits and they take a look inside whatever is left of the briefcase. Only to find a flash drive, which they plug into a computer inside the station. Seeing pictures of a man. Then a bunch of articles and pictures of burned buildings.
