Nine POV :

As usual, I get up and go to wake up the little grumpy master, Nong Prince. I prepare him, show him his clothes for the day, and leave him alone for a while.

Then I go down to the living room and open the door for Han, the family's gray cat. The latter meows so loudly that it could be used as an alarm clock :

"Yeah yeah, I understand, you're very hungry, come here, Han! Time to eat !"

A packet of cat food is enough to soothe the cat's stomach.

Of course, I then await the arrival of Khun Kim and Khun Porchay. Khun Kim is always the first up, and I bring him his coffee in his office.

"Hello, Khun Kim."

The master is already immersed in analyses and reports, so I take a step back, bow respectfully and prepare to leave, however, Khun Porchay entered the room, a tired smile on his face :

"Oh hello, Nine. P'Kim..."

"What's the matter ?" asked the oldest immediately.

I looked at my young master hesitantly, should I stay or go? But Khun Kim gave me a simple nod, allowing me to leave. So I went down the stairs again and find Nong Prince there, along with Sea.

My colleague, my superior to be exact, took care of giving hot rice and eggs to the child, so I rushed into the kitchen.

"Here, Nong Prince, some orange juice!" I said proudly, but the brat shrugged.

"Thank you, P'Nine, P'Sea...But I'm not hungry..Nor thirsty... Can we just skip that and go to school ?"

"Khun Porchay insists that you eat breakfast every morning. Please."

Prince looked at Sea sulkily and crossed his arms. I immediately felt the stress arise in me, I admit, I am very stressed by nature. I leaned towards the little boy and discreetly slipped a candy into his pocket and he smiled at me before giving me a kiss on the cheek.

"Very well, let this new day begin!"

Prince devoured his breakfast quickly, so that he nearly choked under Sea's disapproving gaze.

The little boy finished his bowl, and he went into the office, to say goodbye to his adoptive parents.

"Today we have to go to the Main family."

"Um, are we taking Nong Prince together? Let's do it. It will save time."

P'Sea nodded, and he grabbed the keys to the black van.

Once the little one was dropped off at school, we headed to the hotel where the most important member of the family Theerapanyakul lived: Khun Kinn, the supreme leader, the one who gave orders to everyone.

As usual, we went to the floor reserved for the bodyguards, and P'Fox was waiting for us, we all lined up in front of him, it was usual, every beginning of the week, we had to receive new orders, such as taking care of cars, accompanying customers, monitoring a place... But this time, an unknown man was also there.

"You are late." hissed Fox, glaring at my colleague and myself.

I felt myself going pale, and stiffened, but Sea, he was not the impressionable type, he stood up straight, nodded and said simple:

''The young master had to be dropped off at school. If you have any complaints, check with Khun Kimhan."

An impressed bodyguard whispered through the room, and Fox crossed his arms angrily, but he didn't react. He contented himself with coughing to restore calm, and pushed the young man in front of him:

"This is young Ray, new recruit, he was suppose to be assigned to Khun Macau...But that's the way it is. So I assigned him to a new master, he will serve Khun Porchay."

"What...?"

I shot a surprised look at the head of the bodyguards, I was the guard in charge of taking care of Khun Porchay... I felt Sea's arm slide into my back, as if to calm me down, because in spite of myself, I had begun to get agitated. I bit my tongue and ignored the smug look from that asshole Fox, before motioning for Ray to come over me.

"Hi." said the man in a neutral tone.

"No chatter." roared Fox, resuming his usual grumpiness. "Today Team A is in charge of transporting Khun Kinn. Team B will go with Khun No. Team C is taking care of Khun Kimhan as usual. You can all leave."

Fox snapped his fingers, and the crowd dispersed. Sea sighed, he hadn't removed his hand from my back, and I was starting to feel embarrassed, so I pulled away, before guiding the youngster to our black van.

"Well, start by memorising this road already, you will do it often, we are going home now," I explained.

The young recruit listened to me attentively, he didn't dare to ask questions, but he seemed quite discreet.

My colleague was not very talkative, but I found him abnormally quiet, he seemed to analyze young Ray with his experience. Then once arrived, I continued to guide Ray, even introduced him to our new masters, and towards the end of the day, he took care of putting Nong Prince to bed.

"Wow, man, I don't think I like reading children's stories anymore..." Ray sighed, smoking a cigarette at the bedroom window.

"Yes, Nong Prince always wants more, I sympathize. Do not let him take the upper hand or you will read stories until morning!"

Sea came into the bedroom, one eyebrow raised, and he sat down next to me in bed, his gaze fixed on Ray.

"Tell me, kid. How did you get recruited?"

Ray stiffened a little, but he tossed down his finished cigarette before turning to us, his gaze more serious.

"Well, to be honest....My family has always served the Minor family. My father was in charge of Khun Kan."

I cast a lost look at my superior, Sea finally seemed satisfied and he nodded thoughtfully:

"I thought I had seen you before, you looked familiar, but I must have mistaken you for your father."

"Yes." Ray confessed, almost suspiciously. "I'm not really a new recruit, I just wasn't old enough to work. But I've always been with this family."

I nodded, trying to ease the strange tension between my colleagues and suggested everyone go to bed.
But Sea tugged at my arm, so I followed him into the kitchen, where he poured himself a glass of water, still looking confused.

"What's the matter ?" I approached him, slowly, and checking that there was no one there, I quickly placed my lips against his before suddenly stepping back, my cheeks flushed.

My gesture seemed to bring Sea to his senses, and he sighed, before finishing his drink.

"Nothing, just a bad presentiment...This Ray. He's loyal to Khun Vegas. I've already surprised him many times back then. He treats Vegas like a living god. Let's beware of him, ok? Come on, it's time to sleep."

I tilted my head, a little puzzled, but relaxed, anyway, Khun Vegas was gone, he was no longer a threat.

All the guards had to sleep in the same room, and I noticed that Ray had already fallen asleep. I then gently took his phone and plugged it in so he could charge.

''Good night guys."

Despite myself, my gaze fell on the lit screen, Ray's wallpaper, it was him, smiling with Khun Macau to his left and Khun Vegas to his right.

Well, I felt the stress welling up inside me again. What if Ray was still loyal to Khun Vegas...?

What did the future hold for this family that had already suffered so much?!
