"Soap- we're moving to the crash site to help the wounded. Rest o' you hold here and cover us." He throws out the orders, his mask is damp with a layer of sweat, but his voice is cool and controlled. Ghost and Soap moved with deliberate caution as they approached the crash site.

The tension in the air was palpable, the threat of enemy contact constantly hanging over them like a shadow. As they drew nearer to the wreckage of the helicopter, Ghost's awareness was laser-focused on their surroundings. He knew that the cessation of gunfire didn't mean the danger had passed; it often meant the enemy was regrouping or preparing for a counterattack.

"Alpha 02, Bravo 0-7. Building two secure. We're coming to you." Ghost radios them while Soap trails behind him, watching the tree line ahead of them.

Alpha 02's strained voice responded promptly. "Copy that, Bravo 0-7. We've got casualties here. We're holding, but we need you."

"Expect contact. AQ's waitin' for us. Keep your guard up." He tells Soap over his shoulder. When they get close enough to the helicopter, Ghost stops Soap with a motion of his hand.

"Anything in the tree line yet Soap?"

"Not that I can see LT."

"Good." Ghost's quick assessment of the situation confirmed that the tree line remained eerily quiet for the moment. With no immediate threats visible, he felt a brief moment of relief but knew that they couldn't afford to let their guard down.

"Keep watching that tree line, Soap. They could be waiting for the right moment," Ghost cautioned as he ran inside the crashed helicopter, his weapon still at the ready.

As he entered, Ghost immediately announced their presence with a shout of "Blue! Blue!" to let the occupants know they were allies. The tension in the room eased as the realization sunk in that they weren't facing an enemy threat.

Alpha 0-2, who had been huddled in a corner with an injured soldier, greeted Ghost and Soap with a mixture of exhaustion and gratitude. The situation was dire, as he quickly filled them in on the casualties they had suffered.

"Damn good to see you guys," Alpha 0-2 acknowledged. "We've got five KIA, one wounded. It's just my gun, and I'm low on ammo. Help me move him."

Soap immediately went into action, crouching beside them and pulling out the medkit he had brought along. Ghost nodded in agreement, understanding the urgency of the wounded soldier's situation.

"Let's get him stabilized," Ghost said, his voice steady as they worked together to provide first aid to the injured soldier. Soap's skilled hands moved efficiently, and Ghost kept a watchful eye on their surroundings to ensure they weren't caught off guard.

Movement at the tree line has Ghost stumbling over glass towards the broken helicopter windows to get a better look, "Shit! No time- They're here, Sergeant. Get your gun on that tree line!"

After a few minutes of silence, a single shot rings out and suddenly enemy soldiers are flooding out of the trees and brush shouting war cries.

"Engage!" Bullets began to fly as both Ghost and Soap opened fire on the enemy forces that had likely been lying in wait. The firefight intensified, and Ghost's training took over as he focused on eliminating the immediate threats.

Amidst the gunfire, Soap expertly threw a magazine of ammunition to Alpha 0-2 before sniping down a couple of enemy combatants with precision. Their teamwork and coordination were crucial as they fought to maintain control of the situation.

"Shooters at the wall!" Alpha 0-2's shout broke through the cacophony of gunfire. He quickly identified distant shooters and aimed to eliminate the threat.
