The ship comes into view, surprising Soap. He didn't realize how close they were to it until now.
"Take the ramp!" Graves orders the Shadow piloting the boat. Soap's eyes widen when the boat shifts slightly, aiming for the ramp on the cargo ship.
"Hold tight, Sergeant!" Soap grabs the closest thing to him which was the back of the Shadow's seat. They hit the ramp, flying out of the water and onto the ship below. The boat tips, sending them sprawling across the deck of the ship. Soap's head almost cracks against the floor below him, but his shoulder saves him last second.
His vision is fuzzy when he blinks open his eyes, not realizing he even shut them. Soap lifts himself to his feet, stumbling a little bit. Graves grabs him by the arm to steady him.
"Let's have ourselves a gunfight!" He sounds pumped to be in some more action.
When Soap looks at the deck of the ship, shipment containers were sliding everywhere. He had to figure out a way through without getting shot or getting crushing to death.
"AQ's moving in!" Soap hears Ghost's voice over the sound of metal grating against metal. He looks to his right and sees the man returning fire against the enemies that hide between the containers.
"Ghost!" Soap startles him, Ghost whipping his head around to look at him. He shakes his head subtly. Soap ignores the gesture, grabbing the man's hand and squeezing it tightly. Ghost squeezed back before shaking him off and shooting one of the enemies straight in the gut.
"Missile controls are on the bridge! We have to stop the launch!" Graves yells, moving up more.
"Alejandro, maintain overwatch from the rig! We're forcing up!" Ghost radios.
"Copy that."
"Okay, let's move out!" They all begin rushing the deck, taking out as many stragglers as they could find. One of the Shadows next to Soap almost gets crushed by a container, but Soap grabs him and pulls him out of the way just in time.
"Thank you." The Shadow grips onto Soap to steady himself, letting go once he's stabilized.
Soap is beginning to have trouble finding cover as people are shooting at him.
"Containers are the only cover we have!" He shouts, frustrated. At this point, he'd have twenty bullets inside him before they get to the bridge. Soap takes out another soldier.
"Just don't get caught between 'em!" Graves says. More soldiers are heading towards them, weaving their way through the containers with practiced ease. Soap would've been impressed if they hadn't wanted to launch a missile to god knows where.
"They're forcing up!"
"Thanks for pointing it out!" Soap mutters under his breath. Everyone is trying to advance as much as they can, gaining ground quickly.
"I'm moving up!" Soap shouts to Graves who was behind him.
"Visual on the bridge! Top deck!" Ghost yells to them. Soap watches as Graves takes out two more enemies.
"Entry on the third! We have to get to that door!" They've covered about two-thirds of the deck, making it on to the next portion.
"Shadow-1, the missile's prepped to launch! How far are you from the bridge?" Alejandro sounds worried. Soap couldn't blame the guy as he was as well.
"This is 1, we're pushing towards the entry now!"
"Copy that!"
Soap decides to say fuck it and rushes the rest of the deck. He takes out several enemy soldiers that were too focused on the rest of the team's position to notice him.
