"I don't say a word, but still, you take breath and steal the things I know,"

She could feel the tension between her two friends as Tedros and Agatha weren't talking to each other

She could feel the tension between her two friends as Tedros and Agatha weren't talking to each other. "Maybe it was Luke," Agatha offered as Aanya shook her head. "No, I know his voice. . . I'd recognize him anywhere, and the way he spoke, it just doesn't make sense," They had both offered to help her clear her doubts as Tedros's jacket was still around her shoulders.

Her blouse had dried but she could feel the weight of the words and questions in her mind as she leaned against the pillar. "Maybe it was your imagination," Tedros said and continued explaining his point. "I mean, you clearly knew Luke. .. better than others and yet, maybe it was just something that you held onto. You still care for him, Aanya. I know it's hard to let him go but you need to understand that grief and death are not to be messed up," His tone was empathetic as Aanya realized Tedros was thinking of his father.

"I'll always care for him, the same way you're still holding onto anything of remembrance towards your father and the same way Agatha loves Sophie," The two looked at her as Agatha scoffed at Tedros. "That was my friend," She said as Tedros held his hands up. "It was a bird, Agatha," He said as Agatha sighed.

"It was Gregor, I bet you knew that huh? Unless you're still stuck seeing the world in the way they present it to you, Tedros," She said and walked away as Tedros looked at Aanya. "They make everything black and white, like there's a fine line between good and evil, life and death but Tedros you need to see past it to understand that there's a whole world out there for you." She said as her soulmate scoffed at her words.

"Do you really believe it wasn't Luke?" He asked as she nodded, it was a man in his mid-20s with smooth brown skin and a voice that sent goosebumps trailing down her arm, a sign that meant danger. "I know it wasn't, I just don't know why. . ." Her voice trailed off as she saw Silva entering the room.

"If I may borrow Tedros for a moment,"

"Of course," The two soulmates locked eyes as they had an unspoken conversation. Tedros turned around and followed Silva before he paused and looked back at her. She smiled at him and gave him a thumbs up as she walked to her dorm.

Everyone had gathered at the hall as evers and nevers sat on either side. Aanya walked inside as she searched for the black-haired ever girl named Agatha. "For the record, I don't think you're the devil," A voice said as she turned around. It was Tedros.

"Huh?" He pointed a thumb in the direction of Beatrix and her gang as they looked away from the two. "They're calling you names, I don't believe anything they say," It clicked to her that Tedros was trying to explain himself even though there was nothing to explain.

"Tedros, I understand that you have no part in what they are saying. . . besides being here with me, talking with me is giving them something to talk about," Tedros looked at the group and then back at her as he stepped towards the group of girls giggling. "If you continue to giggle and gossip about the future queen of Camelot and the girl that my heart belongs to you'll have to face me, understand?" All the girls nodded as they looked between Aanya and Tedros.

Tedros walked back to her and shrugged as if he hadn't just done that. She laughed and looked down as she felt his gaze on her. She looked at him before walking away from him.

He pulled her back as her back hit his chest, he turned her around so that she was facing him. "Let them watch princess, we'll give them something to talk about." He said as he raised his hand to tuck a strand of hair away from her face. For a moment everything was silent, it was just the two of them again.

Moments like these made her fall for him hard and fast, she could feel the ground slip from underneath her feet as a staff banged against the floor to gather their attention. Professor Dovey and Lady Lesso were present as everyone started sitting down. The two pulled away from each other as Aanya spotted Agatha and Alejandro who were both sitting together.

She could see the blush on Agatha's cheeks as Alejandro made space for the two of them. Tedros sat next to Alejandro as Aanya moved to sit next to Agatha. A hand stopped her as Tedros pulled her towards him.

She could feel the glares on the back of her neck as she sat down next to Tedros. Everyone formed a line as Aanya looked unsure of what was happening. "Just follow everyone else," She heard Alejandro tell Agatha who was trying to avoid all eye contact with the boy. "It's just a small activation of your finger glow magic," Tedros whispered as Agatha got up and waited for Aanya. "I'll be burrowing your soulmate, Tedros," She said as she offered Aanya a hand to get down. "Thank you, milady," She said as Agatha bowed. "You're most welcome milady,"

The two girls joined the line as Professor Dovey started the activation event. "Your finger glow helps you become aware of the power inside you," A key was inserted softly into the tip of the index finger as it began to glow. It was at this moment that she realized the magic that flowed through the school.

She watched Lady Lesso stab the key into a black-haired boy's finger as he let out a laugh of pain. She was next as Professor Dovey inserted the key softly into her finger, it glowed in response as Professor Dovey smiled at her.

She smiled back at the Professor as she moved away from the line, she sat back on the benches and waited for Agatha. "I hope I'm not late," A voice called out as Aanya could only see that movement of a black dressed figure. . . what it a crow??

The sound of heels clicking filled the air as Aanya could feel the awkwardness in the atmosphere. The girl stopped in front of Lady Lesso. "What is this all about?" It was a never with blonde hair, Sophie. "This? Turns out you did me a favor, I was long overdue a makeover. Now, if you wouldn't mind activating my powers, I'd be most grateful," She heard the key and a hum. "Thank you," It seemed that the girl was embracing her never side as she tried to fit into the role she was given to play. . . the villain.

She watched as Agatha walked back to her looking stunned. "I- I don't understand, Sophie. . . it's not like her to suddenly change," She said as Beatrix spoke up. "Well, maybe it was your influence witch," She spat out as Aanya got up.

"Sophie's the only one held accountable for her actions and her actions only, Agatha had no role in the way that Sophie's changed and, besides you're not doing such a great job with that beauty of yours. . . I can already see the wrinkles from here." Beatrix gasped and looked at her friends as they tried to comfort her.

"Aanya," She looked around for the source as the windows flew open, the wind howled and carried the whistle of the sea as the voice spoke again. "Godling," It teased as Aanya realized it was the same voice from yesterday.

"Who are you?" She thought aloud as she could feel her fathers voice pressing into her mind. 'A–A-Aanya, your brother–' She could hear his voice cracking and cutting out as she felt the ground shift from under her. "Something's wrong," The comment made Aanya think of the previous years and the prophecy, it couldn't be.

' Eight half-bloods shall answer the call,

To storm or fire the world must fall,

An oath to keep with a final breath,

And foe bear arms to the doors of death'

The same voice teased as Aanya realized what was happening. It was THE prophecy, the same one that had stolen Percy from her and left her alone in the dark, the same prophecy where she'd almost lost her fireboy Leo Valdez and the same prophecy that had caused the bridge between the Roman and Greek world to connect.

"Aanya," She turned around to see that the three professors looked worried, even Lady Lesso. She didn't realize she was crying until Tedros brushed away the tear with his thumb. "It's okay, your safe princess," He mumbled soft words in her ear as she hugged him. Oh, but things were far from okay.

For Rafal had opened a wound that had never been shut, a wound that had caused many sleepless nights tossing and turning. . . a wound that would, without a doubt, be the bridge that brought her two worlds closer.
