So, our third confessions to react to says, "I love all of Desmond's different faces. (Even the Revelations one)"
So, quite a few people don't know this, but in Revelations, they remodeled Desmond's face after the series original creator Patrice Désilets, which, I actually find to be kind of appropriate since, alongside Altaïr, Desmond technically is the first protagonist of the series.
Yeah, I'm not entirely sure why they felt the need to keep changing Desmond's face, slightly or otherwise, throughout his saga. I understand why they did it from one to two, since he and Altaïr had the exact same face model.
But if that was the case, why did they feel the need to have Altaïr and Ezio look exactly the same when you compare their two faces in one and two? In addition to having the character, Rosa looking exactly like Rebecca? Along with later changing Altaïr's face model in Revelations anyway?
It's an issue I also have when people criticize Unity for not having the characters speak with French accents and people bringing up how Altaïr had an American accent in the first game. The problem isn't that we don't see the issues in inconsistencies like that in the older games. The issue is that Ubisoft keeps making dumb, silly mistakes like that despite being called out for it abd it's weird.
But...excluding that little tangent, yeah, I'd actually admit that Revelations gave Desmond the most fitting face model, and if they were ever to remake the first four games of the series, I'd recommend they just let him have a more refined version of that model throughout that saga.
