When a broken girl meets a blue eyed man who believes hes a monster, can the two get along in the compound, or maybe even more? Or will they end up hating eachother because of their own pasts?
________________________________________________________...
After 6 weeks in our new apartment we were able to come back to the compound. Bucky and I were glad to be back but I also missed the independence. It felt as though I had gotten a taste of a normal life, and that with Bucky felt like heaven. My room in the compound was just as I'd left it, and I found my sketchbook sitting on my bed next to a box of stuff I presume Tony had sent from the first apartment.
Thank the heavens that wasn't damaged or lost, I had missed having my sketchbook to draw in. Wanda had sent me a new one while I was in the city which I appreciated, but it wasn't the same as my own.
A team meeting was held, me and Bucky were included too, and we all discussed our safety as well as Hydra and the future. I was the first to suggest me and Bucky leave to live a quiet life. This sparked various looks of concern and confusion, as well as various questions thrown our way. Nat looked offended while Wanda looked at me in a way that told me she understood. A large debate ended up happening, but once I explained my reasoning and the fact that we would keep in contact with everyone here most understood and agreed.
Tony was the only one against it, and I knew it was linked to the fact he viewed me as a daughter. I viewed him like a father. Once everyone had left I nodded at Bucky to leave us so I could talk to him one on one.
"Yknow I'd visit, where else would I find a coke can blowing stuff up in a Batcave?" I joked, bringing out Tony's signature smirk.
"I know, but I'll miss having someone to bully everyone with" I hugged him, it'd be hard not being able to see him with a couple minutes walk down the hall, but he's only be a drive away. "We'll get you two a nice place kiddo, just make sure the Manchurian Candidate looks after you yeah?"
"We both know he will Tony" we released eachother and he ruffled my hair. "Well I won't miss that" I joked, but went on my tiptoes and did it to him as revenge. He pushed me off gently and I ran out the room laughing.
I strolled down to my room to find Bucky waiting for me, laying down on my bed with his arm over his eyes. I skipped over to him and straddled his lap, his hands instantly flew to my waist as he smiled at me.
"You okay Doll?" He smiled, his hands rubbing down the sides of my thighs and back up over my hips and waist until he goes back down. I nodded and grinned at him, before leaning down to kiss him. Pretty soon we ended up with our clothes off and I'm sure you can guess the rest.
Tony found us a house on the outskirts of the suburbs nearby a few weeks later, it was a quiet area known for everyone minding their own business. One or two low level agents lived here, so it was a safe area. The close quarters to the compound also made it safe, just a half an hour drive through a few gates and fences and we'd be in the car park of the compound. That meant easy visits too.
Pretty soon me and Bucky were both packed up with our stuff in a car and following Tony to the house. When we got there I was blown away at how pretty it was.

(Just references for the general aesthetic if you'd like it)
It was perfect for us, the modern aesthetic combined with coziness and the decor that matched us both made the place instantly feel like home. Bucky squeezed me close to his side, "you like it Doll?"
"It's beautiful... I love it, whatcha think Buck?" I was staring around at all the fine details in each new room we walked into.
"I think we got ourselves a home" when I looked over at him he was grinning at me. I hugged him close, with my arms around his neck so he lifted me into the air, making me laugh.
We got settled in quickly and soon Tony left us for the first night in our new home. We had a blast, playing cards together and him watching me draw while he pretends to read. I knew from that first night that you this was where I belonged. Where we both belonged. It was perfect. Like a story from a romance novel.
After a week of us living there Nat dropped by saying she had a surprise for us. She carried in a small German shepherd puppy, which made me instantly start crying. They were my favourite breed ever and I always dreamed of having one. We decided to call him Locco, seeing as he had so much energy that he was crazy until he passed out while chewing one of Bucky's boots, mouth still around the boot which made me laugh. We were building a little family already, and I couldn't be happier with it.
That happiness was something I thought I'd never achieve. I thought I was truly broken, that I'd never find anyone to make me this happy or even trust anyone to try. But Bucky changed that. I'd forever be grateful for him. He'd fixed me despite him not being the one to break me. He'd mended my heart, and I liked to believe I'd mended his in return. We were a pair now, our hearts mended with pieces of eachothers. We were eachothers final person, and neither of us were planning on going anywhere. This was it. Our family. Our happiness. Our mended hearts. This was our finale.
Hey darlings! And that's the final chapter for you all. Sorry to bring this to an end, but if you'd like to read some more of my writing I have an original just started this week. Thank you to everyone for the support on this book, it means the world to me. I'm so proud of this book and it's progress, I hope it continues to grow after I close it.
For the final time, as always have a good day/night <3
