|Ashton's pov|

The bell sounded and I let out a sigh of relief, business was harder than I thought and I had been watching the clock tik for what felt like days. "Did you get all of Calum's missed calls too?" Luke said, standing up from his seat next to me. "I got them too." Jessica said, she was in this class too. I furrowed my eyebrows and took my phone out of my back pocket, I had 2 missed calls too. "Shit." I said, walking out the classroom with everyone. "Whats wrong you guys?" Michael said, walking up to us in the hallway. He threw his arm up around Jessicas shoulder and looked at us as we stood there trying to figure out what was going on. "We have class but since you have a spare can you track him down? And bring Olivia she always knows how to calm him down." Luke said, Michael looking back and forth between us. "Who? Find who!" Michael said giggiling a bit. "Somethings wrong with Cal." Is all Jessica had to say to make Michaels face drop. We all knew Calum was never clingy, never emotional, so something big had happend. The bell sounded and everyone walked off tho there classes, I texted Olivia and told her to meet me in the Caf and called up Cal. I listened to the ringing for a second before he picked up, huffing and puffing on the other line. "Cal are you alright mate?" I said as Olivia walked into the Caf. "I fucked up Ash. Can you help me out?" He said, stuttering and spitting out his words quickly. No they couldn't have broken up? Oh fuck. "Yeah man Ill be at your place in 5." I said. I didn't even get to say bye before he hung up. I know exactly what happend, she must have found out. But how? The only people that knew were me, Cal and Mi-

Mia.

I sighed and pushed my phone into my pocket. Olivia cocked her head to the side slightly like she always does when shes concered. "Its Calum." I sighed. "He fucked up big time."

We walked to Calum's house, Olivia slipping her last class to come. "What did he do?" Olivia asked. "He didn't say, but I have a pretty good idea of what happend." I said, rubbing that back of my neck. "What is it?" She asked, looking at me with such concern. I took a deep breath and told her everything, from the drunk fuck last year to Dana never knowing. She couldn't believe that Calum would do that to Dana, she thought they seemed so in love. "They were," I said. "Calum just wasn't thinking." I whispered. "Mia is a manipulator, she can make killing someone look like a good idea. She likes to fuck up peoples lives, its what shes good at." I told her. There was silence for a minute and she slowly took my hand. "Did she do something to you too?" She asked quietly. I stopped walking and took a deep breath, memories of the last few years flooding into my head. I looked into her eyes and she knew now wasn't a good time, then we kept walking.

I reached for the spare key on the top of the door frame and unlocked the door, we were hit with the sound of crying as soon as we opened the door and it broke my heart. Olivia was just shocked, she had never seen Calum sad. She looked at me and frowned as we started to the basement. She followed me down the narrow steps and the crying sounds turned from soft to sobs in a matter of seconds. I turned the corner and saw Calum huddled on the corner of the "L" shaped couch, tears flowing down his cheeks as he clutched a blanket. We sat on both sides of him and I put my arm around his shaking body. "Hey buddy." I said, trying to comfort him. "I f-fucked up s-so b-bad guys. I-I-It hurts so b-bad." He cried. Olivia's eyes were washed over with concern, she is such an amazing friend this is hell for her. "Liv?" He stuttered. "Yeah Cal Pal." She whispered. "Can I have a hug?" He frowned. She nodded and he crashed into her arms, sobbing and griping her arms for support. She held him and rubbed his back, whispering "shhhh. Its going to be okay." in an attempt to make him feel better. The last time I saw Calum cry was before he met Dana, that was grade 2. Its weird seeing the strongest guy I had ever known fall to pieces like this, usually I am the broken one. So right now, I need to pay him back for all of the years of me crying on his shoulder.

|Calum's pov|

2:00 am

I don't care about anything anymore. Everything hurts and all I can feel is her hands on my skin without even being there. My head is full of memories of her and my body is full of loneliness. I need something, anything to make this bearable.

I rolled out of my bed, walking over to my closet and throwing on black track pants and a navy blue zip up hoodie. I but the hood on over my head and walked over to the window. The rain pouring down made this a dangerous idea, but at this point I don't give a single fuck. I opened the window and climbed out, stepping slowly onto the roof. I climbed down the house side and jumped onto the damp lawn. I stood up slowly my legs shaking from the impact. As I walked through the empty streets, I wondered why the rain suddenly felt colder against my skin. Was it because my blood was warmed by knowing I had her? No idea but I do feel pretty fucking empty without her. Wow I'm fucking cheesy. I need to get over it, I don't need her to be okay. I don't need her....

Just as I thought that, my legs collapse from under me and a year fell down my cheeks. Fuck, I need her.

I walked in the same direction, looking for my drug dealer after firing him a text. He said that a new guy would be down my with regular order, I don't care who it is as long as he has my stuff. I still don't want to be dependent on Dana to love my life, I'm Calum Hood I can find someone better. Right? I sure hope so. I turned onto the street where the car with my dealer usually waits in is, its the safest place to make the swap. I gripped the money in my pocket and saw a beat up yellow hummer at the end part of the street, what happened to low key? This new guy is a fucking idiot.

I jumped in the car not even looking at the guy, pulling my money out. "Nice car you idiot." I murmured, handing over the money. "Well, when you break out of prison you don't have much choose do you Calum?" A raspy voice said. My eyes widened when I realized who was next to me, I quickly reached for the door handle but he locked the car. "Not very polite are you?" Jack spat, placing his gun up to my head. "Ive been dealing for only a few days now, so I could do something other than try to remember where Olivia lives. But I can fucking remember Calum." He said, spitting as he shouted in my face. I looked at his face, his eyes were sunken in and he had cuts scattered all over his face. He didn't look human anymore, he didn't look alive. "Where is she." He growled. I didn't dare move my mouth, but my heart was beating out of my chest and sweat was pouring down my face. "This really was a pleasant surprise to find you, because although you wont talk now I have other ways." He smirked, he brought up his hand and crashed the gun over my head.

Then everything went black.
