Neil folded his pants as he looked over at Desiree, "So you don't?" He asked. Desiree rolled her eyes, "Neil, for the last time, I don't know, okay?" She lashed at him. Neil held his hands up in defense and went silent for a minute as they continued to do their laundry together. Neil gave Desiree the side eye and turned quickly towards her, "Not even a little bit?" He asked as he put his hand on his waist and leaned against the table.

"God, I do not have any feelings for Eddie can so everyone just stop saying that I do because I don't." Desiree huffed as she looked blankly into the eyes of her best friend. Neil crossed his arms and squinted his eyes, "Oh, you're such a fucking bad liar. Everyone knows that you and Eddie have this unspoken thing going on with each other." Neil replied with an attitude in his tone.

Desiree rolled her eyes and scoffed, "For the last time, Eddie and I are friends." She spoke clearly as she continued to fold her clothes. Neil sighed and helped his best friend fold, "Ree, I get it, okay? Mark fucked you over and Eddie was there for you through it all. You're tied to him and maybe it'll blossom into a relationship and maybe it might not but that's all up to you and Eddie." He told her before pressing a kiss to her forehead and nudging her away.

She furrowed her eyebrows, "Why are you pushing me?" She asked. Neil chuckled, "Go to bed, I'll take it from here." He told her as he put the milk in the fridge. She blew a kiss to Neil and walked off to her room. She walked over to her phone and dialed the number glued in her mind.

"Munson here, what's up?" He answered and a smile spread across Desiree's face, "Hey, loser." She replied. Just like Desiree, Eddie had a cheesy smile plastered on his face as soon as he heard her voice, "Princess, to what do I owe the pleasure?" He asked. She rolled her eyes, "I just wanted to talk to you. Is that okay?" She responded. He bit his bottom lip and nodded as if she could see him before realizing she can't, "My bad, yeah, yeah it's okay that you called me." He assures her as he leaned against the wall and twirled the chord with his finger.

Desiree chuckled and shook her head, "What are you up to?" She asked. There was silence over the phone, causing Desiree to furrow her eyebrows, "Do you wanna know the truth or should I lie to you?" He asked. She laughed and turned on her side, "Lie to me baby." She joked. Eddie laughed and exhaled deeply, "I'm doing my homework." He answered. She squinted her eyes and poked her cheek with her tongue, "Tell me the truth now."

He went silent for a second before speaking again, "I'm smoking." He answered after a minute of silence. She bursted out laughed and sighed in an amused manner, "No invite?" She joked. There was silence over the phone before she heard Eddie scrambled around the room looking for his keys, "I'm on my way, bye." He spoke quickly before hanging up. Desiree laughed and hung up the phone as well.

She shot up from her bed and ran to where Neil was, he looked at her with a confused face as she sprinted towards him and grabbed his shoulders. Neil scrunched his face, "What are you doing?" He asked. She shook her head, "You gotta go, bud." She tells him as she pushes him towards the door. He held his hands on the frame of the door while Desiree struggled to get him past the threshold, "Why do I have to go?" He asked.

Grunting as she uses all her might to push him out of the apartment, "Because I have a guest coming!" She struggled to get out. Neil turned and looked down at Desiree, "A guest?" He asked with his arms crossed. Desiree moved her hair out of her face and sighed deeply and tiredly, "Yes, I have a guest coming." She confirmed as she smoothed her clothes out and crossed her arms. He squinted his eyes at her and nodded, "Okay, I'll bite. Who is it?" He asked. Desiree shook her head, "No, no, you're not getting a peep out of me." She shook her head and continued to push him.

Neil smiled, "Fine, I don't wanna know anyways." He shrugged while turning around to walk out. Desiree chuckled, "You think that's gonna make me tell you that Eddie's coming over?" She spoke then quickly put her hand over her mouth. Neil nodded his head and smiled, "You got the place all to yourself." He held his hands up in defense and walked away with a smirk on his face. Desiree rolled her eyes, "It's not like that!" She yelled out only for Neil to wave his hand in the air, "Yeah, yeah, yeah, sure it isn't."
