As several months pass, Desiree and Eddie became one. She grew to admire every aspect of him and how well he treats her, while Eddie was just tickled pink by everything she does. Every moment she's with him, it's like she's a kid in a candy store with how happy she is. She's felt more love from Eddie the past six months than Mark did in all his three months of being with Desiree. Eddie had been a slice of life that she was so desperately in need of.

"What's rocking lil' lady?" Eddie asked as he wrapped his arms around her waist and pressed a soft kiss on her jaw before moving his arms to where his hands respectfully rested on her hips. Desiree smiled widely and nudged him away, "Calm it down, Danny Zuko, I'm working, don't let Clyde catch you fondling one of his girls." She teased as she turned around and saw a Eddie in a coverall that covered in grease and grime. She felt her stomach flutter at the sight of him, her eyes drift down to to his chest and see his name on a patch, "You got the job?" She asked in excitement.

Eddie nodded, "Five days a week, baby." He smiled and she wrapped her arms around his neck and hugged him tightly. Eddie chuckled, "Clyde, I'm touching your one of your girls!" Eddie shouted out. Clyde stepped out for a second then shook his head as he saw Eddie pretending to inappropriately grind against Desiree, causing Clyde to laugh and throw the apron that rested on a counter near him.

Cheryl furrowed her eyebrows at the encounter, "Oh, but when Mark comes in here and we share a measly kiss then it's a write up for me." She complained. Louie chortled as he leaned against the window where the food is place, "Sucking your molars out and heavy petting is hardly a 'measly kiss', Cheryl." He rolled his eyes. Desiree looked over at Cheryl and smiled, "Best of luck to you, babe." She sweetly spoke as she grabbed Eddie by his coveralls and pulled him towards the jukebox. Dawn smirked and shoulder checked Cheryl as she passed her, "Oh, sorry Cheryl. Didn't see you there." She sweetly apologized.

Eddie grabbed a quarter and handed it to Desiree, "Pick a song, princess." He smiled as he leaned against the top of the jukebox. She took the quarter from his hand and put it into the coin hole, flipping through the different choices. She finally eyes a song that she wanted, clicking the numbers it was and hearing the first few beats of the song. Eddie smiled and watched as Desiree began to walk away with a small smile on her face. Eddie grabbed her arm and pulled her back into his arms, allowing them to sway to the music in front of a diner full of people. "And then I go and spoil it all by saying something stupid like I love you." Eddie sings along softly with Frank Sinatra into her ear as Desiree looked around at the people staring at them with the biggest smiles on their faces.

Neil leaned over and kissed Dawn on the cheek, "I love you, sunshine." He smiled. Dawn smacked her teeth and scoffed, "Sugar plum, you're not getting anything outta being a kiss ass." She booped his nose and walked away. He groaned and threw his head back, "Louie how did you do it for miss Amelia?" He asked. Louie walked out of the kitchen and poked Neil's chest with a spatula, "Romance, Neil. Just like your boy Eddie over there." He told him then pointed to Eddie and Desiree still dancing as if no one was watching them. The song came to an end and Eddie sighed in delight as he twirled his girlfriend one last time and watched as she spun away to her table with the biggest grin on her face.

"See you tonight?" He asked as he backed away towards the door. Desiree nodded, "Yes, you sexy little grease monkey." She blurted out. Eddie winked and walked out of the diner, leaving Desiree flustered and held her notebook up to her face as she took a deep breath. She looked at her table of two with the widest smile on her face, "What can I get you two?" She asked. Neil rolled his eyes, "Why don't you get that excited for me, sunshine?" He asked as he looked over at Dawn. Dawn smiled, "I always get excited about you, peach." She says as she cupped his cheek in her hand and traced circles with her thumb.
