ONE YEAR AGO:
ARIA VITIELLO
Gianna flipped the bed cover off her head in frustration. "Aria would you Please stop annoying me!... It's late already and I have an exam in two days."
I quit bouncing on the bed, propping down with crossed legs. An exaggerated sigh escaped her lips when some books fell from the bed. "I just need you to keep watch for me, while I'm out." I pouted, pulling my hands together. "Please! Please! Please!."
Sometimes I feel like I have a nerd in disguise as a sister. She wasn't normally like this, it's like she suddenly develops a different alter-ego and personality every day.
She nurtured a habit lately of staying up all night. —curled up below the sheets with a book. A common source that has created some dispute recently between the both of us. We don't spend much time together as we do before.
"Nope! Nope! and... Nope!." She placed a hand on my face, shoving me off the bed.
"What's so fascinating about this party?." She inquired with a hint of sarcasm, peering across the small room to my bed, where my party dress was laid.
"It's the first college party... We've ever been invited to." I replied. Slyly snatching a book from her hands. I pulled away when she tries to snatch it back.
"Urgh! Aria gives me back my book." She mumbled stretching half her body off the bed to reach me.
"Seriously? A hypnotic book. Who do you wanna try it on?." I suspiciously inquired with interest, not breaking concentration off the book.
She immediately tackled me to the bed, caging my body as I struggled beneath her to get away. She scoffed at my attempt. Grabbing the book,—she got off me, getting comfortable on my bed.
"It's all nonsense, I wasn't gonna try it on anyone." She proclaimed. "Okay!, you know what?. You can go to the fucking party and I'll watch out for you." She said reluctantly, making me suspicious for a moment.
I lifted my eyebrow, raking my eyes through her to figure out if she was lying. "Really?!... Just like that?."
She countered back, jumping off the bed to lay on hers. "Yeah! just like that... Now stop disturbing my peace."
She buried her face back into the book, tugging the cover back —over her head.
A loud thud came from the window, alerting me of their presence as I quickly pulled on my party wear. "Bitch get the fuck down, we're late." Vivian's voice hollered followed by another thud.
"I don't like those girls," Gianna mumbled, distractedly staring at the closed window.
"They're my best friend Gianna." I rebuffed. We've been through this, always in the same conversation when my friends are involved.
"Friends don't introduce others to drugs Aria." She shook her head as if giving up. Closing the book, she flipped aside the covers before sitting up straight. "They're a bad influence on you... Your attitude's been wild lately."
I narrowed my eyes at her, coating my lips with a clear lip gloss. "Can we not talk about this right now?!."
"Bitch! Where the fuck are you! We're gonna miss the real fun." An Australian accent yelled louder once more, followed by a 'yeah! I can see your head poking out!... Get the fuck down before we get up there.'
"Shut up, beauty needs perfection." I bellowed back at them. I wouldn't be surprised if the whole neighborhood woke up due to all the yelling.
Gianna gaped at me in disbelief, still peeking out through a small opening from the binds.
"What?" I asked, feeling complex by her sudden change of attitude.
"What kind of friends do you really keep?... They look like sluts." Disgust was evident in her tone.
A scowl appeared when she noticed what I was wearing but she kept her mouth shut. "Since I can't change your decision on not going, —Be back within two hours... That when mom and dad would be back home."
She held my shoulders, stopping my movement as I try to climb down the ladder. "Please be safe... No smoking... No drinking and most of all,— Don't accept anything from strangers." She stressed out her words in concern.
She jutted her jaw at the two girls some distance below me. "Don't accept any from them as well... I don't trust them yet—"
I placed a kiss on her cheek, stopping her compulsive talking. I gave her a wide smile. "I hear you! Mom."
Due to our parents being vacant in our lives, due to the several business trips they have each month. Mom's a model, while my dad's a renowned surgeon.
Well, we hated them not being around at first but as time passed on. We got used to them being separated from us. Sometimes it makes me feel like we're orphans. I know Gianna feels the same but she just wouldn't admit it due to her pride,—she always buries herself into books to cope with her feeling
Not to jinx ourselves, Gianna and I are lucky to at least have one another. She's taken the role of both papa and mama hen in the house.
I don't ever want to plunder what it would be like, without my twin sister in my life.
Looking up at her worried face I gave her a salute with my fingers, assuring her of my safety before jumping the last three steps.
I jogged to meet up with my friends.
"Be save and come back early okay!." She yelled out once more. I turned back my head, sending her a nod.
I made a peace sign with my fingers. "Don't stress yourself much... I'd be back before you even snap your fingers."
Renna let out a loud squeal jumping on top of me when I reached where they leaned against —on a white jeep.
Gosh! Is Renna on drugs again?
