Beca was beyond exhausted.

She had woke up at 5:00 am to run 4 miles.
Then she had to sneak off to shower.
Which was extremely difficult.

The showers in the dorm and locker room were communal, so Beca had to be really careful about it.

Honestly, she would've skipped her classes.
But the urge to see her favorite redhead was too strong.

After being so distant, the prior night with Chloe had  energized Beca.

She had missed her.

Chloe had also seemed to back off a little, which gave Beca mixed feelings.

She needed Chloe to just be her friend.
But is that what she truly wanted?

When Beca slogged into chemistry class, she was met with the bright eyed Chloe.

Chloe frowned, "You look dead, B."

Beca laughed as she took her seat across from the redhead.

"Damn, Beale. Way to knock a dude's confidence."

"I know you're working hard, but rest is important too."

"I know, I'll take it easy this weekend," Beca sighed.

"Promise?"

"Yeah. Honestly, I only came to class to see you," Beca confessed before she realized it.

The smile that beamed back at her distracted any freak out.

"I actually made you something," Chloe shyly stated as she pushed a small flash drive towards Beca.

It had a strip of painter's tape across it that read "B"
with a little soccer ball.

"You made me a playlist?"

"For your runs."

"Beale...this is incredible," Beca smiled.

She was truly touched.
Even Stacie and Emily had never given her something so thoughtful.

Chloe sheepishly shrugged, "Thought it might help pass the time."

"Seriously. No one has ever done anything this thoughtful for me before."

"I'm glad you appreciate it. Most guys would make some stupid remark about wishing it was a sex playlist or something," Chloe laughed.

Beca smirked, "I know better. If it was, you'd be trying to give me a heart attack on my runs."

Chloe teased, "Wouldn't want that now would we?"

Beca spent the next week listening to Chloe's playlist every single morning.

She loved the closeness to Chloe it provided her.
Hearing what songs make Chloe think of her.
Even some of the obvious cheesy ones were adorable and welcomed by Beca.
