Denial

"I think, this strange liquid did not fulfill it's purpose after all, Gabriel! I feel totally normal and not in the slightest, as if I had gotten pregnant. It's been a little more than two weeks by now and though my period didn't start yet, I don't feel any different at all!", Nathalie informed him in the evening, after they had just gone to bed and were about to turn off the lights.

The designer though quirked an eyebrow.

"So you usually get up twice at night, to empty your bladder? And those...", he propped himself up on one hand, to hover above her and cup one of her breasts, "...have grown at least one size over those two weeks, because you're still going through puberty or something?", he mused.

"What? I mean, I drank a lot of herbal tea, because you took away my coffee, so..... And my breasts, well, their size also depends on my weight and figure and as I lost a few pounds due to our daily, or should I say nightly, activities, they may just appear larger. But it would be rather kind of you, to not squeeze them so hard!", Nathalie lamented.

Gabriel just scoffed.

!I am barely touching you, love! Now come again with your arguments! I am pretty sure, you're just in denial!"

"B-B-But...."

He shut her up with a kiss, then laid back down and pulled her into his arms.

"Just try to get some sleep now, we can discuss this further in the morning!"

The assistant inhaled deeply, then nodded.

"Fine, but you'll see, that I am right!", she rambled.

Gabriel just pulled her a little tauter and nuzzled his face into the crook of her neck.

"Please, I am really tired and not in the mood for that right now!", she whined.

The man, who was spooning her, chuckled:

"I was just trying to get comfortable, darling. I love you, Nathalie, sleep well!"

"Hm, love you too!", she hummed to soon slip into a deep sleep.

They woke up early in the morning, to the alarm clock on Gabriel's nightstand going off. After that first weekend, they had both moved into his bedroom together and only kept Nathalie's room as library and guest room.

"Urgh", the man groaned grumpily, "why do I have to get up anyway? I am rich, I should only be working, if I wanted to!"

"Just stop lamenting and shut this thing off! I feel as if I haven't slept at all!", Nathalie, who usually was a morning person, scolded him.

Gabriel quickly hit the button on the top with his palm, then bent over his new life partner and wanted to kiss her, when she pushed him back.

"What's wrong, darling?", he asked her with a puzzled face.

"Morning breath!", Nathalie uttered through gritted teeth.

"Oh, uhm, sorry for that, but you didn't complain about that before, my dear!", he said sheepishly and turned around, so he wouldn't breathe at her any longer, when she answered:

"I'm sorry, honey! I never had that issue before, but right now, I would have liked to puke the moment, you came too close. I am so, so sorry for....oh damn it...."

Without speaking any further, she jumped to her feet and rushed into the bathroom, slamming the door shut, her mouth covered with both hands.

Though he felt slightly worried, Gabriel also began to smirk, when he followed her and knelt down beside the woman, who was emptying her stomach contents into the toilet.
