Think Positive

Nathalie heard a gentle knock on the door to Adrien's bathroom, only a few minutes after Marinette had left her. As she had already managed to pee on the tip of the test and had put the cap back on, to then place it on the side of the bath tub, she quickly muttered:

"Just come in!"

Gabriel pushed the door carefully open and entered to take a short glimpse at the woman he loved, before he quickly pulled her shaking figure into his arms.

"Nervous?", he teasingly asked.

Nathalie scoffed, then nodded.

"Of course I am. But I eventually reached a point, where I am nervous, because I want it to be positive. So, I am trying to think that way too. It's just, you know...."

"I understand", he cooed, then wondered, "how much longer do we have to wait?"

The assistant shortly gazed at her phone, then gasped and said:

"Actually, the time is already up! So we could have a look and see, what it says!"

Gabriel beamed at her widely now, as he pleaded:

"Do you want to look yourself or do you allow me?"

"Let's do it together, yeah?"

He instantaneously agreed. So after the trembling woman had picked it up, she took a deep breath and turned it around, so they both would be able to see.

"Wow!", was all Nathalie could get out, before she was entangled into a passionate kiss by the overwhelmed man. And really, tears were running down his cheeks, when he smashed his lips onto hers, his hands sliding around her and holding her taut to his chest.

"Gabriel, please, let me breathe!", she laughed a moment later, when she pulled back and faced him again.

"Sorry, my love! I was just so incredibly happy!", he hummed, while he loosened his grip around her a little bit. "I love you so much and I can't wait for this baby to be born!"

And then he simply smashed his lips onto hers and kissed her ever so passionately.

When the woman began to deepen that kiss, he pulled back, saying:

"Stop it! First of all, you need to eat and second, I am very certain, that those two downstairs, who are cooking breakfast by the way, can't wait to get an answer to their most important question!"

Nathalie inhaled deeply, then agreed:

"Yeah, you're probably right. I just....", she sighed and leaned her forehead against his chest.

Chuckling the man kissed the top of her head while laying both arms around her.

"Let's just go tell them, okay mummy?"

She gasped and looked up, her cheeks reddening, but with a blissful smile.

"You're making me feel flustered and weird, but I also love the sound of it. Can I tell Adrien, please?"

"Of course you can! He'll be so happy!"

Interlinking their hands, they slowly walked down the marble staircase, Gabriel overprotectively watching each of her steps.

"You are aware, that I am perfectly capable of walking, right?", the amused assistant teased him.

"Well, after all you told me and after how bad you felt, before you stopped using the broken miraculous, barely able to stay on your feet, I am just making sure, that nothing is going to happen to the woman I love and who is carrying the prove for our love!", he stated sternly.

When they entered the kitchen, the teenagers looked up at them immediately. Taking a deep breath, Nathalie walked straight to Adrien and looked down at him, as he was still a little smaller than her, softly telling him:

"Well, Adrien, it seems as if you were about to become a big brother rather soon!"

The young man began to smile widely, asking right away:

"Really? That's amazing! Can I hug you? Or would that be bad for the baby?"

Gabriel, who was still holding her hand, answered for her:

"You won't do anything to the baby, son. But be careful anyway, because....well...."

He looked at Nathalie and then down at her breasts, blushing slightly at the thought of explaining to the boy, that her breasts were already hurting.

The pregnant woman though smiled at both and said:

"It's nothing to feel embarrassed, Gabriel! What your father was too flustered to tell you is, that my breasts are hurting because of being pregnant and that's why it would be very kind, if you didn't hug me too strongly! But despite that, I would really like a hug!"

She opened her arms for him and, though his cheeks had turned red as were his father's, he gave her a very light embrace, yet he nuzzled his face into the crook of her neck, s he had done with his parents and her, when he was still small.

By doing that, he made the woman smile and cry at once.

"I love you very much, Nathalie!", the boy cooed and she beamed even wider, as she responded:

"I love you too, Adrien!"

Marinette now asked rather shyly:

"Would you be okay, if I hugged you too? I know, we barely know each other, but.....", she paused, then squealed, "I am just so happy for you!!!"

The usually stoical woman now held out one arm, the other was still clinging to the teenager, she had loved like her own son, since he was a baby, and pulled the girl into the embrace, so they were now al three hugging.

Gabriel was watching them, feeling so incredibly happy, better than he had in years.

"Mind if I join you? I really would love to be included into this family group hug!", he pleaded sheepishly after watching them for a moment.

It was his son, who told him:

"Of course, Dad! That would be the best! I can't even remember, when I felt this happy. I thought, the day Marinette and I got finally together would have been that day, but today is even better than that. I hope, you aren't mad at me, Marinette!"

He looked anxiously at his girlfriend, who just beamed at him.

"I would never Adrien and you really should know that! I am happy for you and I am really looking forward to meet your little brother or sister. I even offer my spare time for babysitting, if you would like some time for yourself sometimes!"

She looked at Nathalie and Gabriel who both gave her an encouraging nod.
