It's Time

Switching the comms on, Carolynn, Chekov and Scotty could hear the whirring of the PX 70.

They were seated at the Transporters room. Waiting to beam Spock and Bones to Krall's base.

Once Jaylah sent the signal, Chekov transported the doctor and the commander to the base.

In addition to the bike's sound, the party back at the Franklin could hear occasional firing of phasers.

"Gotta admit, that's hell of a distraction." Floats in Bones' voice.

Carolynn smirks at her suggestion. She had suggested Jim to use image refractors and the weird glue like thing Jaylah uses to trap trespassers, to distract Krall's men. It seems the idea is a hit, by the sound of it.

"Your friends are over there." Jaylah's voice is heard.

"Come on " Bonnes' voice is heard.

Some muffled voices are heard, but nothing is clear. With clammy hands, Carolynn sat in one of the chairs, biting her lips nervously.

"Get the remainder of the crew to safety." Spock says.

"Come on. Let's go. Move!" Bones says.

Soon the signal is recieved, and Chekov says, "I've got them Mr. Scott."

"Okay, Mr. Chekov. Increase the signal, we gonna grab them twenty at a time." Scotty commands and stand right in front of the pad, waiting for the crew.

"Let's hope it doesn't get messy, Scotty." Carolynn says recieving a nod from both of them. "Energize!" She commands as she hears groaning noises on the comms. It is Jaylah. She's probably fighting some one hand to hand.

A group of crew members get beamed into the ship. Kienser is one of them. Scotty let's outs a laugh and shakes hand with the little man. "Good to see you, wee man." He adds.

"Spock, what are you doing here?" Uhura's voice is heard making Carolynn happy about it. Nevertheless, she rolls her eyes at her question.

"Clearly, I'm here to rescue you." Spock replies matter of factly.

"Let's go." Uhura says.

The trio, back at the ship, continue to beam up more and more group of crew members.

Once the last group is being beamed back, Carolynn leans over the console and says, "We're ready for you next, James. Just turn on your beacon."

"Rose, you have everybody?" Jim asks.

"Yes, bubs. Everyone except you and Jaylah. Prep the beacon and we'll grab you." Carolynn replies. Her heart pounding rapidly as everyone else was up on the ship and her husband wasn't. Moreover, the enemy is no small threat.

"James, you beacon!" Carolynn shouts, recieving no reply.

They could hear his bike, which means, the communications are still working.

After a long wait, they recieve his signal.

"Ah. There it is." Chekov says.

"Energize!" Scotty commands instantly.

Once the transportation starts, they hear a faint, "Jaylah now!" in Jim's voice.

Suddenly, two people get beamed onto the pad.

Jim and Jaylah, appear. Their hand in each others. Both groaning in pain.

"Okay. Let's never do that again." Jim says.

"I agree, James T." Jaylah replies as Jim removes his glasses.

Carolynn sits back in her chair and lets out a sigh of relief. But this is short lived as Uhura and Sulu run to Jim.
